Martin Zeno
American Martin Zeno (196-G-85) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Nilan Bisons and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 27-year old guard had the game-high 32 points adding three rebounds and three assists for Nilan Bisons in his team's victory, helping them to beat LrNMKY (#6, 10-7) 90-82. It allowed Nilan Bisons to consolidate first place in the Finnish Korisliiga. Nilan Bisons have a solid 15-3 record. In the team's last game Zeno had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Nilan Bisons and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Texas Tech University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Zeno is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.3ppg. Zeno is in league's top in assists (5th best: 4.5apg) and averages solid 55.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old American guard Dominique Coleman (190-G-84) of Lapua. Coleman impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 10 assists. Of course Lapua cruised to a 86-79 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Namika Lahti (#12, 4-14). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Lapua managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Lapua managed to get this year. Coleman is a newcomer at Lapua and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Nilan Bisons' star - American Ryan McDade (201-F-80). McDade scored 19 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Nilan Bisons, helping his team with a 90-82 win against the lower-ranked LrNMKY (#6, 10-7). Nilan Bisons confirms their top position in the standings McDade has a great season in Finland. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.7rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Carl Lindbom (206-F-91) of Pyrinto - 25 points and 9 rebounds
5. Lamonte Ulmer (198-SF-86) of Pyrinto - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Damon Williams (201-F-73) of Pyrinto - 11 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists
7. Tremaine Ford (206-F/C-86) of Kauhajoki - 19 points and 14 rebounds
8. Andrais Thornton (203-F-85) of FoKoPo - 25 points and 10 rebounds
9. Antti Kanervo (193-SG-89) of Kataja - 24 points and 7 rebounds
10. Shawn Atupem (200-F-89) of Salon Vilpas - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
