Estonia claimed the second win in a row at the start of the Baltic Sea Basketball Cup tournament. The hosts held off Finnish counterparts to stay undefeated. Saimon Sutt (198-SG-95) came up with 31 points to pace the winners.
Finland erupted for 29 points in the opening quarter to take a 3-point lead. The visitors maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. Finland piled up a 56:52 lead at the interval. Estonia finally adjusted their defence in the third quarter. The hosts limited Finland to 18 points and erased the deficit. The teams entered the fourth frame tied at 74. Estonia held their opponents 9 points in the final period and snatched a tough win at the end. Sten Olmre (192-SG-95) posted 14 points, while Karl-Martin Kask (206-F-95) chipped in 13 points for the winning side. Henri Niemisto (194-G-96) responded with 22 points for Finland. Miikka Mikkonen (193-F-95) provided 13 points in the losing case.
