Martin Zeno
American guard Martin Zeno (196-G-85) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Nilan Bisons, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 27-year old player got a double-double of 18 points and 16 assists, while his team crushed Lapua (#10, 6-15) with 21-point margin 101-80. It allowed Nilan Bisons to take over top position in the Finnish Korisliiga. Nilan Bisons have a solid 17-4 record. It's Zeno's second year at Nilan Bisons and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Texas Tech University star has very solid stats this year. Zeno is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.6ppg), assists (4th best: 4.7apg) and averages impressive 1.0bpg and 54.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old American Jason Conley (196-G-81, agency: Warren Sports International) of LrNMKY. Conley had a very good evening with a double-double of 32 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as LrNMKY lost that game 88-96 to the higher-ranked Pyrinto (#2, 16-5). This loss caused LrNMKY to drop to 7th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-11 record. Conley is a newcomer at LrNMKY, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 9.8rpg and 3.0apg. Former University of Missouri star Conley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Daniel Coleman (206-F-85) of Kataja (#3). Coleman scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Kataja, leading his team to a 99-70 easy win against the lower-ranked LrNMKY (#7, 10-11). Kataja needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 16 victories and 5 lost games. Coleman has a great season in Finland. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 0.7apg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Lamonte Ulmer (198-SF-86) of Pyrinto - 19 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Carl Lindbom (206-F-91) of Pyrinto - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Juho Nenonen (202-SF-87) of Kataja - 23 points and 8 rebounds
7. Timo Heinonen (198-F-81) of KTP - 23 points and 9 rebounds
8. Damon Williams (201-F-73) of Pyrinto - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists
9. J'Nathan Bullock (196-F-87) of Kauhajoki - 15 points and 10 rebounds
10. Sefton Barrett (196-SF-83) of KTP - 23 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
