Finnish U18 National Team registered two victories in five games played at the traditional Nordic Cup in Solna, Sweden. Finland thus occupied the fourth position.
Finland opened their campaign with a 53:46 victory over Denmark. Finland were down by two points after the first quarter but they picked up the tempo and surged ahead for a 31:26 halftime lead. Kia Fisker responded with 10 points for Denmark. Anemone Scheel had 9 points in the loss. Next Finland faced Estonian counterparts. Estonia led comfortably by 9 points after three quarters of action. Finland came up with a furious comeback effort in the fourth frame and nearly stole the victory. But Estonia held on and escaped with a 42:40 success at the end. Kadri-Ann Lass notched 17 points for Estonia. Trine Kasemagi had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Elina Koskimies chipped in 7 points for Finland. Kujala had 13 points in the defeat. Norway also could not match Finland in the fourth game at the tournament 42:76. Finland led from start to finish earning a convincing win. Wilma Purhonen and Armi Anttila dropped 11 points each to lead the winners. Maja Foeleide responded with game-high 15 points for Norway. Vilde Tveito had 8 points in the loss. Finally Finland lost to Sweden 55:61 for the third loss at the tournament. Emma Eriksson stepped up with 22 points to propel Sweden to a 61:55 victory. Amanda Kantzy posted 10 points and 11 rebounds as Sweden clinched the trophy. Elli Koskinen responded with 14 points for Finland. Anni Jamsa had 8 points and 6 assists in the losing effort.

Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Emma Cannon who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 38 points and 13 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Anne Breitreiner contributed with 18 points for the winners. American forward Denise Beliveau replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Alyssa Karel added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rhein Main Baskets.
