Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Finns who are currently playing abroad.

Petteri Koponen
Petteri Koponen
#1. This week's number one is an international point guard Petteri Koponen (194-88, currently plays in VTB United League). He led his Russian team Khimky to a victory over the tenth-ranked PGE Turow (2-9) 91-72 in the VTB United League in Monday night's game. Koponen was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points and added 3 assists in 23 minutes on the court. BC Khimky Moscow Region (8-3) is placed third in group A. This year Koponen averages: 7.7ppg, 1.3rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 51.9%, 3FGP: 54.5%(12-22) in the nine games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Finnish senior national team.

Teemu Rannikko
Teemu Rannikko
#2. Second place goes to an experienced international point guard Teemu Rannikko (189-80, currently plays in Adriatic League). Rannikko was the major contributor in Un.Olimpija's victory against one of league's weakest teams KK Zadar (6-11) 88-81 in the Adriatic League last Sunday. He scored 17 points and added 4 assists. Union Olimpija Ljubljana (9-8) is placed fifth in the Adriatic League. Rannikko's overall stats this season are: 7.3ppg, 3.1apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 62.5%(10-16), 3FGP: 39.2% and FT: 88.1%. He is in the roster of the Finnish senior national team.

Gerald Lee
Gerald Lee
#3. The Finnish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU, currently plays in Eurocup). Lee contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Triumph Lyubertsy (0-2) crushing them 90-69 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night. He recorded 13 points and added 3 assists in 26 minutes. KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica (1-1) is placed third in group I. There are only four games left until the end of the Eurocup Top 16. So now every game will be critical. Despite Kaunisto's good performance Blois was edged 76-73 at home by the leading Orchesien BC. He had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 12 rebounds in 33 minutes. Kaunisto belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #3) and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Kaunisto averages: 17.9ppg, 11.6rpg and 1.9apg in the 14 games. He is also Finnish national team player.

He used to play for the Finnish university national team two years ago.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Finnish passport:

#1. Roberto Alexander Mantovani (200-F-94, currently plays in Cyprus), who plays in the Cypriot Division A could not help AEL (5-8) to beat Etha (10-4). Mantovani cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points. AEL was defeated 86-71 on the road by the second-ranked Etha. Mantovani's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Mantovani's first season with the team. This year he averages just 1.2ppg.
