Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Finns who are currently playing abroad.

Petteri Koponen
Petteri Koponen
#1. This week's number one is an international point guard Petteri Koponen (194-88, currently plays in VTB United League). He led his Russian team Khimky to a victory over the tenth-ranked PGE Turow (2-9) 91-72 in the VTB United League in Monday night's game. Koponen was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points and added 3 assists in 23 minutes on the court. BC Khimky Moscow Region (8-3) is placed third in group A. This year Koponen averages: 7.7ppg, 1.3rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 51.9%, 3FGP: 54.5%(12-22) in the nine games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Finnish senior national team.

Teemu Rannikko
Teemu Rannikko
#2. Second place goes to an experienced international point guard Teemu Rannikko (189-80, currently plays in Adriatic League). Rannikko was the major contributor in Un.Olimpija's victory against one of league's weakest teams KK Zadar (6-11) 88-81 in the Adriatic League last Sunday. He scored 17 points and added 4 assists. Union Olimpija Ljubljana (9-8) is placed fifth in the Adriatic League. Rannikko's overall stats this season are: 7.3ppg, 3.1apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 62.5%(10-16), 3FGP: 39.2% and FT: 88.1%. He is in the roster of the Finnish senior national team.

Gerald Lee
Gerald Lee
#3. The Finnish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU, currently plays in Eurocup). Lee contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Triumph Lyubertsy (0-2) crushing them 90-69 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night. He recorded 13 points and added 3 assists in 26 minutes. KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica (1-1) is placed third in group I. There are only four games left until the end of the Eurocup Top 16. So now every game will be critical. Lee has relatively good stats this year: 11.0ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 59.3%(32-54) and FT: 75.0% in the eight games. He is a naturalized American. Lee is also a member of the Finnish senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Finland.

Emir Sulejmanovic
Emir Sulejmanovic
#4. Power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (204-95, currently plays in Adriatic League) is a teammate of previously mentioned Teemu Rannikko and both played together in the last Adriatic League game. Sulejmanovic contributed to Un.Olimpija's victory against one of league's weakest teams KK Zadar (6-11) 88-81. He scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was his first game for Un.Olimpija this season. Sulejmanovic has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Finnish. Despite he played previously for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team, Sulejmanovic is currently in the Finnish U16 national team roster.

Roope Ahonen
Roope Ahonen

International guard Roope Ahonen (186-90, agency: FCM, currently plays in Sweden) was the main contributor in a Solna Vikings' victory against the closely-ranked LF Basket (9-12) 84-75 in the Swedish Basketligan last Tuesday. He was the best player in that game. Ahonen scored 25 points and added 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) in 28 minutes. Solna Vikings (14-8) is placed fifth in the Basketligan. This year Ahonen has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg, 1.9rpg and 4.1apg in the 22 games. He plays currently for the Finnish national team.

Tuukka Kotti
Tuukka Kotti
#6. Power forward Tuukka Kotti (205-81, college: Providence, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Vanoli Cremona to win against one of league's weakest teams Angelico Biella (3-12) crushing them 92-59 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night. Kotti scored only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Vanoli Cremona (5-10) is placed 12th in the SerieA. Kotti's overall stats this season are: 5.8ppg and 6.2rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Finnish National Team roster.

Ville Kaunisto
Ville Kaunisto
#7. International forward Ville Kaunisto (205-82, currently plays in France), who plays in the French NM1 (third division) could not help Blois (8-6) in their last game. Despite Kaunisto's good performance Blois was edged 76-73 at home by the leading Orchesien BC. He had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 12 rebounds in 33 minutes. Kaunisto belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #3) and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Kaunisto averages: 17.9ppg, 11.6rpg and 1.9apg in the 14 games. He is also Finnish national team player.

Shawn Huff
Shawn Huff
#8. Small forward Shawn Huff (198-84, college: Valparaiso, currently plays in Italy) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tuukka Kotti and both played together in the last Italian SerieA game. Huff contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Angelico Biella (3-12) crushing them 92-59. He scored only 4 points. Huff's overall stats this season are: 3.8ppg and 3.5rpg. He plays currently for the Finnish national team.

Joonas Caven
Joonas Caven
#9. U20 international power forward Joonas Caven (211-93, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Prat Juventud (7-5) in their game against Oviedo CB (8-3) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). Caven recorded 9 points (made all of his six free throws) in only 14 minutes. But Prat Juventud lost 63-69 on their home court in Prat to the second-ranked Oviedo_CB. They ended the series of six consecutive victories. This year Caven's overall stats are: 6.9ppg and 2.5rpg in the 11 games. He is also in the roster of the Finnish U20 national team.

Alex Murphy
Alex Murphy
#10. Forward Alex Murphy (203-93, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Clemson University (1-2) crushing them 68-40 in the NCAA in Tuesday night's game. Murphy scored only 2 points. The Duke University has 2-1 conference record this season. Murphy's total stats this year are: 6.9ppg and 2.5rpg. He is a naturalized American. Murphy is U20 international player who is currently on the Finnish National Team roster. Apparently he has never played in Finland.

#11. Former University international forward Lauri Toivonen (201-91, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Fisher College crushing them 95-49 in the NCAA last Saturday. Toivonen scored 6 points and added 3 assists in only 14 minutes. This year Toivonen's total stats are: 6.9ppg and 2.5rpg in the 11 games. He used to play for the Finnish university national team two years ago.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Finnish passport:

#1. Roberto Alexander Mantovani (200-F-94, currently plays in Cyprus), who plays in the Cypriot Division A could not help AEL (5-8) to beat Etha (10-4). Mantovani cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points. AEL was defeated 86-71 on the road by the second-ranked Etha. Mantovani's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Mantovani's first season with the team. This year he averages just 1.2ppg. Mantovani has a dual citizenship: Finnish and Cypriot.
