Martin Zeno
27-year old guard Martin Zeno (196-G-85) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Nilan Bisons and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 25.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Kauhajoki (#5, 15-9) 86-77. It allowed Nilan Bisons to take over top position in the Finnish league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Nilan Bisons has a very solid 18-5 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. It's Zeno's second year at Nilan Bisons and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Texas Tech University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Zeno is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.4ppg. Zeno is in league's top in assists (5th best: 4.8apg) and averages solid 1.0bpg and 54.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Troy Barnies (200-F-89) of Salon Vilpas. He is American forward in his first season at Salon Vilpas. In the last game Barnies recorded impressive double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Salon Vilpas was edged by Lapua (7-17) 70-68. Salon Vilpas is still in a red zone at 8th spot in the standings. 17 lost games are too many comparing to just seven victories Salon Vilpas managed to get this year. Barnies is a newcomer at Salon Vilpas and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Bojan Sarcevic (190-G-88) of KTP (#4). Sarcevic scored 21 points and passed six assists. He was a key player of KTP, leading his team to a 85-75 win against #3 ranked Pyrinto in a game of the week. KTP needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 18 victories and 6 lost games. Sarcevic has a very solid season. In 24 games in Finland he scored 11.4ppg. He also has 3.2apg, FGP: 54.0% and 3PT: 47.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Lamonte Ulmer (198-SF-86) of Pyrinto - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Daniel Coleman (206-F-85) of Kataja - 18 points and 9 rebounds
6. Jonte Flowers (196-F/G-85) of Kataja - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Charles Burgess (186-PG-84) of FoKoPo - 12 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Chris Hester (192-G/F-79) of Kouvot - 19 points and 5 rebounds
9. Louis Johnson (206-F/C-86) of Namika Lahti - 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Jahmar Thorpe (198-F-84) of FoKoPo - 20 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
