Korisliiga, round 25-26: Two games on top level tonight. Kataja (Joensuu) beat Karhu (Kauhajoki) 102-82 (49-48). And Pyrinto (Tampere) lost at home vs Bisons (Loimaa) 90-100. (38-49). Kataja was led by Daniel Coleman (206-F-85, college: Minnesota), who missed only three shots (1 - 2/2, 2 - 6/9, 3 - 1/1) scoring 19 points.Johnell Smith (180-PG-80, college: New Orleans) added 18 and Sami Lehtoranta (205-PF-79) 14 pts in 19 minutes. Karhu (Kauhajoki) had four players in double digits. Eldar Skamo (198-F-86) netted 15 pts.
Pyrinto (Tampere) lost at home vs Bisons (Loimaa) 90-100 (38-49). Lamonte Ulmer (198-SF-86, college: Rhode Island) (Pyrinto) had his season best 42 pts/13 rbs (1 - 13/14, 2 - 10/14, 3 - 3/5). Damon Williams (201-F-73, agency: Two Points, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) added 15 pts as well as Antero Lehto (184-G-84) (15 pts). PuHu Juniorit - TuNMKY 82-74 PuHu Juniorit outgunned TuNMKY and clinched Division B title. TuNMKY trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 24-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-82 at the end of the game. American Raheem Appleby (190-G-93) put on an amazing game in the last round for Kouvot and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 37.
