33-year old power forward Pierre Jallow (203-F/C-79) had a great game in the last round for Jarvenpaa and receives a Eurobasket.com 1st Division Player of the Week award for round 19.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat HBA-Marsky (#6, 8-12) 91-81. Jarvenpaa maintains the 4th position in Finnish 1st Division. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Jarvenpaa will need more victories to improve their 12-7 record. It's Jallow's second year at Jarvenpaa and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Pierre Jallow averages this season 22.3ppg and 14.6rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Nafis Ricks (188-G) of BC Jyvaskyla. He is American guard in his first season at BC Jyvaskyla. In the last game Ricks recorded impressive double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he lead BC Jyvaskyla to another comfortable win 96-78 over slightly lower-ranked Espoo Basket (#7, 5-14) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed BC Jyvaskyla to move up to 5th position in group B. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-12 record. Ricks is a newcomer at BC Jyvaskyla and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.1ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 9.5rpg and 4.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Shaquille Johnson (190-G-90) of SayRi (#9). Johnson got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. Despite Johnson's great performance SayRi lost 96-105 to the higher-ranked Huima (#6, 6-10). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. SayRi can only dream about fighting for top spots in group A. They have rather bad season and 4-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Johnson he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. The season just started for Johnson as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

9. Samuli Oja (191-F-93) of Jarvenpaa - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Russell Frederick (185-PG-88) of Oulun NMKY - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

25-year old guard Desmond Williams (199-G-91) had a great game in the last round for Salon Vilpas and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14. He had the game-high 20 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Salon Vilpas in his team's victory, helping them to beat BC Nokia (#4, 6-7) 90-83. Korisliiga Round 14: UU-Korihait hands first loss to Helsinki Seagulls - 1 day ago

The most surprising game was the first loss ofHelsinki Seagulls (11-1) in Uusikaupunki on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by tenth ranked UU-Korihait (4-8) 96-79. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Helsinki Seagulls. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-79. 29-year old Brian Moultrie (198-C/F-87) had a great game in the last round for league's best team PuHu Juniorit and receives a Eurobasket.com 1st Division Player of the Week award for round 9.
