Here is the weekly review of the top performing Finnish players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced international point guard Teemu Rannikko (189-80, currently plays in Adriatic League). He contributed to Un.Olimpija's victory against the closely-ranked MZT Skopje (10-10) 87-76 in the Adriatic League in Saturday night's game. Rannikko scored 9 points and added 3 passes in 21 minutes on the court. Union Olimpija Ljubljana (11-9) is placed seventh in the Adriatic League. It's Rannikko's first season with the team. Rannikko is currently seventh on the list of best passers with 3.3apg. He also averaged so far 7.0ppg, 1.1rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 61.1%(11-18), 3FGP: 36.7% and FT: 86.5% in the 19 games he played so far. Rannikko is currently a member of the Finnish senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Petteri Koponen (194-88, currently plays in Euroleague). He managed to help BC Khimky Moscow Region to win against the closely-ranked Caja Laboral (4-2) 83-71 in the Euroleague last Friday. Koponen scored 5 points and added 3 passes. BC Khimky Moscow Region (4-2) is placed third in group F. This season Koponen averages: 6.0ppg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 57.6%(19-33), 3FGP: 32.1%. He is in the roster of the Finnish senior national team.

   #3. The Finnish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU, currently plays in Adriatic League). Lee contributed to Buducnost's victory against the 11th-ranked Cibona (7-13) 73-60 in the Adriatic League on Saturday night. He scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes. KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica (12-8) is placed fifth in the Adriatic League. Lee has relatively good stats this year: 11.5ppg, 4.2rpg, 2FGP: 62.0%(93-150) and FT: 62.0% in the 20 games. He is a naturalized American. Lee is also a member of the Finnish senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Finland.

   #4. Guard Sasu Salin (192-91, currently plays in Adriatic League) is a teammate of previously mentioned Teemu Rannikko and both played together in the last Adriatic League game. Salin contributed to Un.Olimpija's victory against the closely-ranked MZT Skopje (10-10) 87-76. He scored 5 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Salin is ranked fourth on the list of the most steals in the league. His overall stats this season are: 6.9ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.8spg. Salin is also Finnish national team player.

He was MVP of the game. Ahonen recorded 18 points and added 5 assists in a mere 19 minutes. Solna Vikings (17-9) is placed fourth in the Basketligan. Ahonen is currently seventh on the league's list of best passers with 4.2apg. This year he also averages: 11.7ppg and 1.7rpg in the 26 games. Ahonen plays currently for the Finnish national team.

Power forward Tuukka Kotti (205-81, college: Providence, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Enel Brindisi (9-9) 97-81 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night. He scored 5 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Vanoli Cremona (7-11) is placed 12th in the SerieA. Kotti's overall stats this season are: 5.9ppg and 6.1rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Finnish National Team roster.

Former University international forward Lauri Toivonen (201-91, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to UTPA's victory against the Oklahoma Panhandle State University (9-9) 76-68 in the NCAA in Tuesday night's game. Toivonen scored only 4 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 24 minutes. The University of Texas-Pan American has 3-1 conference record this season. This year Toivonen's overall stats are: 5.9ppg and 6.1rpg in the 16 games. He used to play for the Finnish university national team two years ago.

TuNMKY trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 24-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-82 at the end of the game.
