The game between third ranked Forssan Alku (14-8) and seventh ranked Aanekosken (11-11) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Forssan Alku was defeated by Aanekosken in a tough game in Forssa 55-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Forssan Alku. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 16-7 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Aanekosken dominated on the defensive end, holding Forssan Alku to just 7 points in third quarter. They also forced 19 Forssan Alku turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for swingman Jasmin Holliday (182-90, college: Oregon) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Secily Ray (180-90, college: Wake Forest) with 6 points and 17 rebounds. Aanekosken maintains seventh place with 11-11 record. Forssan Alku at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Honka. Aanekosken are looking forward to face bottom-ranked HyPo (#11) in Hyvinkaa in the next round. Alexandria Anderson accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Callan Taylor (182-90, college: Sacred Heart) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for TuRi in the defeat. Catz Lappeenranta have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-2 record. Newly promoted TuRi keeps the ninth position with 16 games lost. Catz Lappeenranta will play against Forssan Alku (#4) at home in the next round. TuRi will play against Torpan Pojat (#5) in Helsinki and hopes to get back on the winning track. Second ranked Peli-Karhut (18-4) crushed at home 10th ranked BC Nokia (3-19) by 41 points 100-59, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Linda-Lotta Lehtoranta who scored 26 points and 4 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Peli-Karhut's coach Seppo Kurki felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Alberta Auguste who recorded 15 points. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Peli-Karhut. They maintain second place with 18-4 record having just two points less than leader Catz. BC Nokia lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 19 games lost. Peli-Karhut will meet Kerava Energia Team (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. BC Nokia will play against Honka in Espoo and hope to secure a win.
In the last two games of round 27 ToPo lost to Honka on the opponent's court 73-79. HoNsU outscored Kerava in a home game 87-67. The most impressive stats of the last round was 24 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals by Jordan Murphree of Honka.

Rather predictable result in Jyvaskyla where sixth ranked HoNsU (13-9) smashed 8th ranked Kerava Energia Team (6-15) 87-67 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by HoNsU. Kerava Energia Team managed to win second period 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. HoNsU dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kerava Energia Team's 32 and made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Kerava Energia Team 54-42 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Minna Sten (189-87) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). But then Catz Lappeenranta had a 26-14 second period charge getting the lead and TuRi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-96. The hosts started with 29-8 lead in the first frame and of course never looked behind after. The Spanish side added a 19-7 rally in the second frame and went to the lockers with 33 points advantage. Spain posted also 28-5 burst in the third quarter and finished the game with 16-8 rally in the last stanza. They tried hard to post three-digit number at the very end, but were happy to leave the court with 92 points. Alba Torrens (188-F-89) top-scored for the winners with 20 points, while Marta Xargay Casademont (181-PG-90, agency: Josep and Nicolas) netted 12. Pascua collected 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Amaya Valdemoro (183-F-76, agency: Josep and Nicolas) also scored 11.
