Korisliiga, round 31: Two contests tonight. Pyrinto (Tampere) defeated Vilpas from Salo 95-81 after being down by four (41-45) during the half time. It was Marcus Relphorde (198-F-88, college: Colorado), who was keeping Vilpas in the game by scoring 22 points during the first two quarters. Relphorde netted 33 pts (1 - 7/7, 2 - 7/15, 3 - 4/8) in the game, but there was only one more player on Vilpas (8-23) roster in double digits. Lamonte Ulmer (198-SF-86, college: Rhode Island) was helping Pyrinto (22-8) also with 33 pts and he missed only two shots (1 - 8/9, 2 - 8/9, 3 - 3/3) in the game. Damon Williams (201-F-73, agency: Two Points, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) almost made a triple-double (20/11/7) and Antero Lehto (184-G-84) added 19 pts.
UU-Korihait (Uusikaupunki) beat YMCA Lahti 90-77 (42-37). Korihait (11-20) is already almost in safe, but YMCA Lahti (7-24) need more wins badly. T.J. Robinson (203-F-89, agency: Global Sports Plaza, college: Long Beach St.) and Demond Watt (200-F-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) helped both the hosts with 21pts/11rbs. Alain Laroche (198-F-83, college: N.Florida) added 16 pts. Jordan Hasquet (206-F-85, agency: Dynamics Global Management, college: Montana) led YMCA Lahti with 17pts/8rbs. Cedric Latimer (198-F-87, college: St.Francis, PA) scored 17 pts as well.

G DeAndre Mays (188-G-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, college: Youngstown St.) had his first triple-double in Finland: 31pts/13rbs710a! Nolan Richardson (188-G-84, college: Midwestern St.) led Ura Basket (6-14) with 23 pts.

Finland - Sweden 69:67 Lauri Markkanen (213-PF-97) scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to pace Finland past Sweden in the exhibition clash. Sweden jumped to a 21:15 lead after the opening quarter. But Finland picked up the tempo in the second term. They established a 37:33 halftime lead. Joensuun Kataja Basket (Korisliiga) agreed terms with 24-year old American guard Byron Wesley (196-95kg-92, college: Gonzaga). He played last season at Sioux Falls Skyforce (D-League) in the U.S. In 12 games he had 3.0ppg and 1.8rpg. Wesley was voted All-WCC 2nd Team in 2015 at his college time. Porvoon Tarmo (1st Division) added to their roster 23-year old American forward Cameron Clark (190-98kg-93). Clark just graduated from Southwestern College, KS (NAIA). He has played there for the last four years. In 34 games he recorded very impressive stats: 23.0ppg, 9.9rpg and 1.5apg last season. Clark helped them to make it to the final.
