Brian
Moultrie
American Brian Moultrie (198-C/F-87) had a great game in the last round for BC Nokia, receiving a Eurobasket.com 1st Division Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds, while his team BC Nokia maintains the 4th position in Finnish 1st Division. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. BC Nokia will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 11-8 record. Moultrie turned to be BC Nokia's top player in his first season with the team. Former Armstrong Atlantic State University star has very solid stats this year. Moultrie is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.7ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.9rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg and 66.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old American Nafis Ricks (188-G) of BC Jyvaskyla. Ricks had a very good evening with a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he lead BC Jyvaskyla to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked JyWe (#8, 6-19) 98-63. BC Jyvaskyla's 5th position in group B has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-15 record. Ricks is a newcomer at BC Jyvaskyla, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.6ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 9.7rpg and 4.4apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Andre Stephens (202-F-87) of Huima (#6). Stephens scored 27 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Stephens' great performance Huima lost 81-86 to the higher-ranked Tapiolan Honka (#3, 13-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Huima not to end season at such low position in group A, however are less than slim as they have already lost 13 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Stephens could try to bring Huima's a little bit higher in the standings. Stephens has individually a great season in Finland. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.8rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ronnie Clark (195-F/G-81) of Tapiolan Honka - 39 points and 11 rebounds
5. Joonas Suotamo (209-F/C-86) of Espoo Basket - 17 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Pierre Jallow (203-F/C-79) of Jarvenpaa - 15 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Josh Nofflet (194-G/F-88) of Oulun NMKY - 26 points and 13 rebounds
8. Lauri Jarvinen (185-C-85) of KaU Koris - 20 points and 6 rebounds
9. Kraidon Woods (205-C/F-88) of BC Nokia - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Devin Ginty (188-G-89) of ToPo - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
