Paul Carter
Paul Carter (204-F-87, college: Ill.-Chicago) current player of Lapuan Korikobrat (Finland-Korisliiga) gave an interview:

Why you decided to be a pro player.

I always wanted to be a professional player like my father, my father played in the NBA for a number of years with the Lakers and the Pacers.

There are many players without a job fighting for the same spots, how hard is to wait for your ideal offer and not take the first that comes up considering that the next one may not come soon.

It is extremely hard to pick and choose certain offers! These days overseas basketball is very popular and jobs are becoming more scarce. Sometimes you have to take jobs that may not be what you're worth. Jobs don't stay on the table long so unfortunately at times you have to take what you can get.

Which was the best game you had in your career so far?

That's a tough question lol, I'll say my favorite game was when we beat the Loima Bisons here in Lapua. Lapua had never beat the bisons since they were in the Korisliiga.

Tell us your strong point and your weakness in your game.

Strong point of my game would be my versatility at 6"8 I can play the 1-4 at times it can be a weakness also some coaches don't know how to utilize my skill set properly so it can be a challenge.

Which player was the hardest opponent to play against?

The hardest opponent was probably my rookie year matching up against Gerald Green in the D-League we went toe to toe he is extremely athletic!

Tell about the best teammates you had so far.

I have had all kinds of teammates! My rookie season I had NBA vets Antoine Walker Mikey Moore and Marcus Banks that was a great experience! This season in Finland I am the closest I've been with my teammates overseas, I love all these guys, this is one of those teams where you can stay connected for a lifetime!

Which coach you want to thank because he made you better player.

I really want to thank my high school coach Tracy Allen! He was the coach at Wilbur D. Mills in Little Rock AR. He was the first coach who whole heartedly believed in me and my ability. If it wasn't for him I would have never played college basketball and become a pro!

Role player in a big team or star in a smaller one?

My current situation is I have a big role on a smaller team, I've also been a role player on good teams. To me it's about WINNING! I'll play in either situation I just want to win plain and simple!

Which is your favorite basketball shoe? Which one you wear now?

My favorite hoop shoes are Kobe's. I like most low top Nike shoes to play in, I'm currently playing in a older model Lebron shoe they were cheaper than the new Kobes lol

What plans you have for the future?

My plans for the future are whatever God has in store for me, all is possible through Jesus Christ so I'm hoping to get back to the NBA but if not I would love to play on a top euro league team or in the top Asian or Australia league.

1st Division Round 3 of Regular Season - 1 day ago
After 3 rounds played we can already see who rules in the 1st Division and who belongs to weaker ones. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. The most interesting game of round 3 was only one-point a home defeat of Korikouvot (1-2) to Forssan Koripojat (2-1) 98-97. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Korikouvot won third quarter 28-27. However it was not enou...   [read more]

Aaron Jones claims Finnish Korisliiga weekly honour - 1 day ago
American Aaron Jones (206-F-93) had a great game in the last round for Salon Vilpas and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4. The 24-year old forward had a double-double of 23 points and nineteen rebounds, while his team edged out Kataja Basket (#5, 2-1) 84-81. Salon Vilpas is placed at 4th position in Finnish Korisliiga. Salon Vilpas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more...   [read more]
