The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games and favorites losing the games.

Top ranked TuNMKY (15-4) recorded its fourth loss in Turun on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Korikouvot (12-6) 90-79. The game was mostly controlled by Korikouvot. TuNMKY managed to win third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was swingman Teemu Knihtinen (195-98) who had a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Guard Samuli Lehtonen (175-92) chipped in 14 points. Guard Eero Innamaa (186-98) produced 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Korikouvot maintains fifth place in Division with 12-6 record. TuNMKY at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Korikouvot are looking forward to face higher ranked Espoo Basket (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TuNMKY will play against Karkkila and is hoping to win this game.
Eighth-ranked Jarvenpaa (7-13) made lots of trouble for second ranked Espoo United (15-5). The visitors from Espoo managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected much easier game. American guard Omar Calhoun (198-93, college: Connecticut) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds. Jeb Ivey contributed with 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. Espoo United's coach Ville Neva allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for Jarvenpaa. Newly promoted Espoo United maintains second place in Division with 15-5 record having just one point less than leader TuNMKY. Jarvenpaa at the other side keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. Espoo United will play against Jyvaskyla BA (#5) on the road in the next round. Jarvenpaa will play against Porvoon Tarmo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Jyvaskyla BA managed to escape with a 2-point win 68-66 on Sunday evening. Robert Juvonen stepped up and scored 18 points for the winners. Jyvaskyla BA's coach Juuso Konttinen used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Juho Hietanen responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Newly promoted Jyvaskyla BA maintains fifth place in Division with 10-8 record. ToPo at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third position with eight games lost. Jyvaskyla BA will meet at home league's second-placed Espoo United in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ToPo will play against Forssan Koripojat and hope to secure a win.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Espoo. First ranked TuNMKY faced 3rd placed Espoo Basket. Guests from Turun (15-4) defeated host Espoo Basket (13-6) 80-63. Eero Innamaa nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side. Espoo Basket's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. TuNMKY maintains first place in Division with 15-4 record. Espoo Basket at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. TuNMKY's next round opponent will be Karkkila (#9) at home and are hoping to win another game. Espoo Basket will play against Korikouvot (#5) in Kouvola and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In Division Pyrinto II was crushed by Espoo United in a road game 78-51. Porvoon Tarmo beat FoKoPo at home 103-90. HBA-Marsky was destroyed by ToPo on the opponent's court 98-76. Ura Basket outscored Raholan Pyrkiva in a home game 108-83. JyWe was rolled over Munkkiniemen on the road 95-68. HNMKY U23 defeated Namika Lr on its own court 88-73. PeU-Basket was beaten by PuHu Juniorit in Vantaa 70-64. HyPo won against Karkkila at home 93-79.

Division A
Espoo United - Pyrinto II 78-51

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Pyrinto II (4-15) was crushed on the road by second ranked Espoo United (15-5) 78-51 on Sunday. The game without a history. Espoo United led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Pyrinto II's 26. They outrebounded Pyrinto II 40-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. Espoo United looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Pyrinto II's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Omar Calhoun (198-93, college: Connecticut) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Lauri Toivonen (201-91, college: UTRGV) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Espoo United players scored in double figures. Espoo United's coach Ville Neva felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Jerrah Young (203-85, college: Toledo) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and forward Tuomas Sukanen (198-91) added 9 points respectively for the guests. Newly promoted Espoo United maintains second place in Division with 15-5 record having just one point less than leader TuNMKY. Loser Pyrinto II keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost. Espoo United will face Jyvaskyla BA (#5) on the road in the next round.

However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. PuHu Juniorit outrebounded PeU-Basket 48-28 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Eero Lehtinen (194-85) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Otto Markkanen (190-90) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. PuHu Juniorit's coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games.
