The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 18 in the 1st Division took place in Jyvaskyla. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best Espoo United (15-6) to fifth ranked Jyvaskyla BA (11-9) 83-82 on Sunday evening. Espoo United trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 40-23 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 82-83 at the end of the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Espoo United helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Bahamas forward Winslo Barry (208-90, college: Incarnate Word) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Ville Lehtonen (185-95) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Jyvaskyla BA's coach Juuso Konttinen used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Omar Calhoun (198-93, college: Connecticut) replied with 29 points and 7 rebounds for Espoo United. Jyvaskyla BA moved-up to fourth place in Division. Espoo United at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the second position with six games lost. Jyvaskyla BA are looking forward to face Forssan Koripojat (#7) at home in the next round. Espoo United will play against Porvoon Tarmo (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Jarvenpaa. Sixth ranked Porvoon Tarmo (10-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked Jarvenpaa (7-14) 86-83 on Sunday evening. American forward Levi Giese (206-90, college: Lafayette) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Cameron Clark chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds. Porvoon Tarmo maintains sixth position in Division with 10-11 record. Jarvenpaa at the other side keeps the eighth place with 14 games lost. Porvoon Tarmo will play against league's second-placed Espoo United on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jarvenpaa will play against ToPo (#3) in Helsinki and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game for PuHu Juniorit (16-4) which played road game in Espoo against 4th ranked Espoo Basket (13-8). Second ranked PuHu Juniorit had an easy win 95-80. Sakari Salminen notched 30 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 24 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) by Justice Graham did not help to save the game for Espoo Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PuHu Juniorit maintains second position in Division with 16-4 record behind leader TuNMKY. Loser Espoo Basket dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. PuHu Juniorit will meet Karkkila (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Espoo Basket will play against PeU-Basket (#9) and hope to secure a win.
1st Division top team - Lahti (18-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Oulun NMKY (11-10) 79-64. The best player for the winners was Rashad Smith who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Lahti's coach Arttu Mannelin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Lahti maintains first position in Division with 18-4 record. Oulun NMKY at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
1st Division top team - TuNMKY (17-4) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Karkkila (6-14) in Turun 108-69. It was a good game for Eero Innamaa who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. TuNMKY's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. TuNMKY maintains first position in Division with 17-4 record. Loser Karkkila keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. TuNMKY will face JyWe (#12) in Jyvaskyla in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Karkkila will play at home against the league's second-placed PuHu Juniorit and hope to win that game.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 18:
In Division ToPo beat FoKoPo on the road 87-77. Porvoon Tarmo won against Oulun NMKY on its own court 70-63. Jyvaskyla BA unfortunately lost to HBA-Marsky in Helsinki 51-67. HBA-Marsky recorded a loss to Pyrinto II at home 77-85. HNMKY U23 was defeated by PuHu Juniorit on the opponent's court 79-69. Korikouvot beat Espoo Basket in a home game 89-74. JyWe lost to Namika Lr on the road 72-85. HyPo outscored Raholan Pyrkiva on its own court 100-80. Munkkiniemen recorded a loss to Ura Basket in Kaarina 70-88. HNMKY U23 was crushed by TuNMKY at home 70-91. Munkkiniemen was beaten by Raholan Pyrkiva on the opponent's court 85-76. JyWe lost to HyPo in a home game 83-90. Namika Lr managed to outperform Karkkila on the road 101-92. PeU-Basket managed to beat Korikouvot on its own court 88-81.
The most impressive performance of 18th round was 25 points and 12 rebounds by Jerrah Young of Pyrinto II.

Division A
Lahti - Oulun NMKY 79-64

1st Division top team - Lahti (18-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Oulun NMKY (11-10) 79-64. The game was mostly controlled by Lahti. Oulun NMKY was better in second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lahti dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Oulun NMKY's 30. Lahti forced 19 Oulun NMKY turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Rashad Smith (201-93, college: Tulsa, agency: Diamond Sports) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Aleksanteri Ahola (185-95) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Lahti's coach Arttu Mannelin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. No shocking result in a game when third ranked ToPo (13-8) beat on the road 7th ranked Forssan Koripojat (8-13) 87-77 on Sunday. Forssan Koripojat was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 27-16 charge of ToPo, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for guard Emil Djeen (183-94, college: High School) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 9 rebounds. American swingman Nigel Moore (195-81, college: Alabama A&M) contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four ToPo players scored in double figures. American swingman Roderick Flemings (203-87, college: Hawaii) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Bruce Reed (202-90, college: Pikeville) added 15 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Forssan Koripojat. Newly promoted ToPo maintains third position in Division with 13-8 record having four points less than leader TuNMKY. Loser Forssan Koripojat keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost. ToPo will face Jarvenpaa (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Forssan Koripojat will play against Jyvaskyla BA and hope to win that game.

The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-77. Pyrinto II forced 20 HBA-Marsky turnovers. HBA-Marsky was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Jerrah Young (203-85, college: Toledo) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Justus Kilpinen (193-93) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Worth to mention Young played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Point guard Edon Maxhuni (186-98) replied with 21 points and Andre Gustavson (190-99) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for HBA-Marsky. Everything went according to plan when second ranked PuHu Juniorit (16-4) defeated 8th ranked HNMKY U23 (8-13) in Vantaa 79-69 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by PuHu Juniorit. HNMKY U23 was better in second period 26-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for guard Eero Lehtinen (194-85) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Eero Sahlberg (188-90) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four PuHu Juniorit players scored in double figures.
