Bratton's double-double lands him 1st Division Player of the Week award - Feb 14, 2017

Reginald
Bratton
30-year old swingman Reginald Bratton (193-G/F-86, agency: Blacktop Management) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Namika Lr and receives a Eurobasket.com 1st Division Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Karkkila (#10, 6-14) 101-92. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in Division B. Namika Lr maintains the 13th position in their group in Finnish 1st Division. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 16 games and recorded just four victories. Bratton just recently signed at Namika Lr, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Lenoir-Rhyne College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bratton is in league's top in points (2nd best: 30.1ppg) and averages solid 2.7spg and 50.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was De'Andre Upchurch (188-G-91) of HyPo. He is American guard in his first season at HyPo. In the last game Upchurch recorded impressive double-double of 42 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led HyPo to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Raholan Pyrkiva (#6, 12-8) 100-80. HyPo's 7th position in Division B has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 11-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Upchurch is a newcomer at HyPo and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 36.4ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 9.1rpg and 5.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Teemu Knihtinen (195-G/F-98) of Korikouvot (#4). Knihtinen got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for fourteen rebounds and six assists. Despite Knihtinen's great performance Korikouvot lost 81-88 to the lower-ranked PeU-Basket (#9, 7-13). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Korikouvot needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in Division B. Their record is 13 victories and 7 lost games. Knihtinen has a great season in Finland. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.1rpg (9th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. De'Andre Upchurch (188-G-91) of HyPo - 34 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
5. HL Coleman (202-F-74) of Jarvenpaa - 31 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Sean Harris (201-F) of Ura Basket - 25 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Jerrah Young (203-F-85) of Pyrinto II - 25 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Sergei Chudinovskich (193-PG-81) of JyWe - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Rashad Smith (201-G-93) of Lahti - 27 points and 9 rebounds
10. Levi Giese (206-F-90) of Porvoon Tarmo - 27 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
