The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season.

Bottom-ranked UU-Korihait managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of seventeen consecutive losses on Wednesday night. This time newly promoted UU-Korihait won against ninth-ranked Tampereen Pyrinto 71-67. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and guard Emmanuel Holloway (185-86, college: Illinois St., agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 15 points. The best for the losing side was forward J'Nathan Bullock (196-87, college: Cleveland St.) with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Newly promoted UU-Korihait maintains tenth place with 5-25 record. Tampereen Pyrinto lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 21 games lost. UU-Korihait are looking forward to face higher ranked KTP-Basket (#8) in Kotka in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tampereen Pyrinto will have a break next round.
Korisliiga top team - Helsinki Seagulls (22-7) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked BC Nokia (13-17) 86-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BC Nokia. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Swingman Raymond Cowels-III (193-90, college: Santa Clara) nailed 29 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Devonte Upson accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Isaiah Wilkerson (191-90, college: NJIT) came up with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for BC Nokia in the defeat. Helsinki Seagulls maintains first place with 22-7 record. BC Nokia at the other side keeps the sixth position with 17 games lost. Helsinki Seagulls will play against Kouvot (#7) in Kouvola in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BC Nokia will play on the road against Kauhajoen Karhu in Kauhajoki and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Kotka was also quite interesting. Third ranked Kauhajoen Karhu (20-11) played at the court of 8th ranked KTP-Basket (11-20). Kauhajoen Karhu defeated KTP-Basket 103-90 on Wednesday. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Austin Hollins who scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Antwan Scott who recorded 27 points and 4 assists. KTP-Basket's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kauhajoen Karhu maintains third place with 20-11 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Helsinki Seagulls. Loser KTP-Basket keeps the eighth position with 20 games lost. Kauhajoen Karhu will meet at home BC Nokia (#6) in the next round. KTP-Basket will play against UU-Korihait in Uusikaupunki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 33 Lapua lost to Salon Vilpas on the opponent's court 82-94. Kataja Basket managed to outperform Kouvot in a home game 96-91.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 28 points and 7 rebounds by Jamal Jones of Lapua.

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Lapuan Korikobrat (15-15) was defeated on the road by second ranked Salon Vilpas (22-8) 94-82 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was American forward Al'Lonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Okko Jarvi (193-96) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Five Salon Vilpas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jamal Jones (203-93, college: Texas A&M, agency: Stealth Sport) who recorded 28 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Damon Williams (201-73, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo, agency: Two Points) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Salon Vilpas maintains second place with 22-8 record having just one point less than leader Helsinki Seagulls. Loser Lapuan Korikobrat keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. Salon Vilpas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lapuan Korikobrat will play against Joensuun Kataja (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Kataja Basket - Kouvot 96-91

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Joensuun Kataja (19-8) defeated at home 7th ranked Kouvot (12-17) 96-91 on Wednesday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Joensuun Kataja dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kouvot's 32 and made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Joensuun Kataja forced 24 Kouvot turnovers. Strangely Kouvot outrebounded Joensuun Kataja 41-23 including 30 on the defensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Rion Brown (198-91, college: Miami, FL) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Jarekious Bradley (196-90, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) chipped in 25 points and 6 rebounds. Kauhajoen Karhu looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Austin Hollins (195-91, college: Minnesota) who scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Karhu Kauhajoki (Korisliiga) signed 20-year old guard Henri Kantonen (197-97) from Kouvot. But in 27 Korisliiga games he had just 1.8ppg and 1.3rpg last season. Lahti Basketball (1st Division) strengthened their roster with addition of 19-year old swingman Hannes Koskinen (198-98) from KaU Koris Karkkila. Koskinen has played there for the last four years.
