Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Finns who are currently playing abroad.

Sasu Salin
Sasu Salin
#1. This week's number one is an international guard Sasu Salin (191-91, currently plays in EuroCup). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Gran Canaria (4-2) in their last game. Despite Salin's very good performance Gran Canaria lost 79-85 at home to the leading Hapoel Jerusalem. He was the top scorer with 17 points in a mere 18 minutes on the court. This year Salin averages: 9.3ppg, 1.4rpg, 2FGP: 45.5%, 3FGP: 47.4%(36-76) and FT: 95.5%(21-22) in 16 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Finnish senior national team.

Erik Murphy
Erik Murphy
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Erik Murphy (208-90, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management, college: Florida, currently plays in France). Murphy led Strasbourg IG to a victory against the league outsider Sluc Nancy (4-17) 80-71 in the French ProA last Saturday. He scored 12 points, made 3 passes and 4 steals. Despite Murphy played previously for the USA U18 national team, he is currently a member of the Finnish senior national team. Strangely Murphy has never played in Finland.

Petteri Koponen
Petteri Koponen

He contributed to a 3-point FC Barcelona's victory against the 15th-ranked UCAM Murcia (7-15) 73-70 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. Koponen scored 8 points and added 8 assists in 26 minutes. FC Barcelona Lassa (15-6) is placed fourth in the Liga Endesa. This year Koponen's overall stats are: 9.1ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.5apg, 3FGP: 30.6% and FT: 96.9%(31-32) in 17 games. Ex-Honka Espoo Playboys player is also a member of the Finnish senior national team.

Emir Sulejmanovic
Emir Sulejmanovic
#4. Power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (204-95, currently plays in ABA League) was not able to help Cibona (11-14) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance Cibona was edged 85-84 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams KK_Zadar (#13). Sulejmanovic scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team will play only one more game in the ABA League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Sulejmanovic's first season with the team. Sulejmanovic's total stats this year are: 7.2ppg and 4.0rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Finnish. Sulejmanovic used to play for the Finnish national team back in 2013.

He is an international player who is currently on the senior Finnish National Team roster.

Antti Kanervo
Antti Kanervo
#7. International shooting guard Antti Kanervo (192-89, agency: Blacktop Management, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Chorale de Roanne (9-12) in their game against JL Bourg (15-6) in the French ProB (second division), despite his very good performance in Friday night's game. Kanervo scored 13 points (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line) in 27 minutes. But Chorale de Roanne lost 70-76 in Bourg to the leading JL Bourg. It was Chorale de Roanne's third consecutive loss in a row. Kanervo has averaged so far 9.5ppg, 1.3rpg and 1.5apg in 20 games. He is also Finnish national team player.

Shawn Huff
Shawn Huff

#9. International power forward Lauri Markkanen (213-97, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to Arizona's victory against the Arizona State University (9-9) 73-60 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Markkanen recorded 10 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks in 23 minutes. The University of Arizona has a very solid 11-1 conference record this season. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Markkanen has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.3ppg and 7.4rpg in 30 games. Markkanen is also in the roster of the Finnish national team.

Julius Rajala
Julius Rajala
#10. Forward Julius Rajala (206-94, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the University of Southern Indiana (15-3) in their game against the Truman State University (12-3) in the NCAA2. Despite his very good performance in Thursday night's game He scored 20 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Rajala's team will play only one more game in the NCAA2 Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Rajala has averaged so far 9.4ppg and 4.1rpg. He is a former university international player as two years ago he still played for the Finnish national team.

#11. International point guard Jamar Wilson (185-84, college: Albany, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Movil Estudiantes in their game against Joventut in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Kotti scored only 4 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Kotti has averaged so far 9.5ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.8apg. He is also in the roster of the Finnish national team.

He is a naturalized American. Murphy is also Finnish national team player. Apparently he has never played in Finland.

#14. Former international point guard Harold Fiifi Aidoo (187-96, is currently at the American university) contributed to a Grand Canyon's surprising victory against the Cal State - Bakersfield 58-52 in the NCAA last Saturday. Aidoo recorded 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Aidoo has averaged so far 4.6ppg and 2.1rpg. He used to play for the Finnish national team back in 2015.

#15. International forward Matti Nuutinen (202-90, also represented by Blacktop Management, currently plays in France) is a teammate of previously mentioned Antti Kanervo. But that was another game of his team in French ProB which we would like to mention. Nuutinen couldn't help Chorale de Roanne in their game against Charleville-Mezieres. He cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. Nuutinen scored only 2 points in 23 minutes. His team was crushed by 26 points 96-70. Nuutinen has averaged so far 7.0ppg and 2.6rpg in 21 games. He is also in the roster of the Finnish national team.

One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Finnish passport:

#1. Remu Raitenan (206-F, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the USF (7-7) to beat the Santa Clara University (6-8). Raitenan recorded only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The USF was defeated 76-69 at home by the University. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Raitenan has averaged so far 4.6ppg and 3.6rpg.
