The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets.

Fifth-ranked Lapuan Korikobrat (15-17) was very close to win a game against first ranked Helsinki Seagulls (23-8) on Wednesday. Helsinki Seagulls managed to secure only two-point victory 86-84. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-15. But Lapuan Korikobrat won second period 14-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international Carl Lindbom (206-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. American swingman Raymond Cowels-III (193-90, college: Santa Clara) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Jamal Jones (203-93, college: Texas A&M, agency: Stealth Sport) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for Lapuan Korikobrat. Helsinki Seagulls maintains first place with 23-8 record, which they share with Salon Vilpas. Lapuan Korikobrat lost fourth consecutive game. Lapuan Korikobrat at the other side keeps the fifth position with 17 games lost. They share it with BC Nokia. Helsinki Seagulls is looking forward to face league's second-placed Salon Vilpas at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lapuan Korikobrat will have a break next round.
Important game to mention about took place in Kauhajoki. Second ranked Salon Vilpas (23-8) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Kauhajoen Karhu (20-13) 103-101 on Saturday evening. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for guard Desmond Williams (199-91, college: S.Connecticut) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds. Al'Lonzo Coleman helped adding 14 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Kammeon Holsey (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Salon Vilpas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Helsinki Seagulls. Kauhajoen Karhu at the other side keeps the fourth place with 13 games lost. Salon Vilpas will play against league's leader Helsinki Seagulls on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kauhajoen Karhu will have a break next round.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Joensuun Kataja (21-9) against ninth ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (11-21) on Wednesday night. Visiting Joensuun Kataja was crushed by Tampereen Pyrinto in Tampere 94-69. It was an exceptional evening for J'Nathan Bullock who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Tommi Huolila came up with 11 points and 9 rebounds for Joensuun Kataja in the defeat. Joensuun Kataja's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Tampereen Pyrinto maintains ninth place with 11-21 record. Loser Joensuun Kataja keeps the third position with nine games lost. Tampereen Pyrinto will meet at home higher ranked KTP-Basket (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Joensuun Kataja will play against UU-Korihait (#10) in Uusikaupunki and hope to secure a win.
The game in Kouvola was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Joensuun Kataja (21-9) played at the court of 7th ranked Kouvot (13-18). Joensuun Kataja defeated Kouvot 93-77. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was Rion Brown who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Joensuun Kataja maintains third place with 21-9 record having just three points less than leader Helsinki Seagulls. Defending champion Kouvot keeps the seventh position with 18 games lost. Joensuun Kataja's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked UU-Korihait (#10) in Uusikaupunki and are hoping to win another game. Kouvot will play at home against BC Nokia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 35 bottom-ranked Korihait was beaten by BC Nokia on the road 95-78.
The most impressive performance of 35th round was 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by Javier Duren of BC Nokia.

Kauhajoki - Salon Vilpas 101-103

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked BC Nokia (15-17) beat at home bottom-ranked UU-Korihait (5-27) 95-78. The game was mostly controlled by BC Nokia. UU-Korihait was better in second period 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Nokia dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to UU-Korihait's 30 and made 19-of-20 charity shots (95.0 percent) during the game. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was guard Javier Duren (193-93, college: Yale) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Isaiah Wilkerson (191-90, college: NJIT) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. BC Nokia's coach Ville Tuominen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Eric McAlister (204-90, college: Stony Brook) produced 12 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) added 5 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests.
