Omar Calhoun
American Guard Omar Calhoun (198-G-93) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Espoo United, receiving a Eurobasket.com 1st Division Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 23-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, six rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass FoKoPo (#9, 8-17) with 54-point margin 121-67. Espoo United maintains the 2nd position in their group in Finnish 1st Division. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Espoo United will need more victories to improve their 18-6 record. In the team's last game Calhoun had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Espoo United's top player in his first season with the team. Omar Calhoun averages this season 21.7ppg and 8.0rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old American Zach Stahl (196-G, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) of Oulun NMKY. Stahl had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Oulun NMKY lost that game 76-83 to the lower-ranked Jarvenpaa (#8, 9-16). Oulun NMKY managed to keep the same 5th spot in Division A. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 13-12 record is not bad and everything may still change. Stahl is a newcomer at Oulun NMKY, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Edon Maxhuni (186-PG-98) of HBA-Marsky (#6). Maxhuni got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . He was a key player of HBA-Marsky, leading his team to a 92-81 win against the higher-ranked Lahti (#1, 19-6). The chances of HBA-Marsky ranking at the top of Division A, however are very questionable as they have already lost 15 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Maxhuni could help HBA-Marsky to bring them higher in the standings. Maxhuni has a great season in Finland. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.9ppg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Pierre Jallow (203-F/C-79) of ToPo - 21 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Timka Jaakkola (192-G/F-94) of TuNMKY - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Levi Giese (206-F-90) of Porvoon Tarmo - 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Pyry Rainamaa (194-G-90) of PuHu Juniorit - 23 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Terrell Vinson (201-F-90) of Pyrinto II - 27 points and 16 rebounds
9. Joakim Jousisto (175-PG-95) of Jarvenpaa - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists
10. Sakari Salminen (200-F-87) of PuHu Juniorit - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
