   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Petteri Koponen (194-88, currently plays in Euroleague). He contributed to a FC Barcelona's victory against one of league's weakest teams Unics Kazan (7-18) 70-62 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Koponen recorded 9 points and added 3 assists in 18 minutes on the court. FC Barcelona Lassa (10-15) is placed 11th in the Euroleague. Koponen has relatively good stats this year: 10.3ppg, 1.5rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 39.1%, 3FGP: 47.9%(46-96) and FT: 89.5% in 22 games he played so far. Ex-Honka Espoo Playboys player is currently a member of the Finnish senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced international small forward Shawn Huff (198-84, college: Valparaiso, currently plays in Germany). He led Deutsche Bank Skyliners to a victory over the 16th-ranked Braunschweig (4-19) crushing them 92-56 in the German BBL last Sunday. Huff was MVP of the game. He recorded 17 points. Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt (10-14) is placed tenth in the BBL. This season Huff has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 2.7rpg, 2FGP: 60.9%(14-23), 3FGP: 46.4%(13-28) and FT: 71.4%. He is in the roster of the Finnish senior national team.

   #3. The Finnish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Sasu Salin (191-91, currently plays in Spain). Salin helped Gran Canaria win their game against the 14th-ranked Sevilla (7-15) 89-70 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. He scored 7 points and added 3 passes in 15 minutes. Herbalife Gran Canaria (15-8) is placed seventh in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This year Salin averages: 6.9ppg, 2.1rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 39.4%, 3FGP: 34.7% and FT: 82.8% in 22 games. He is also a member of the Finnish senior national team.

Power forward Erik Murphy (208-90, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management, college: Florida, currently plays in France) helped Strasbourg IG win their game against the closely-ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (16-6) 67-58 in the French ProA in Sunday night's game. Murphy recorded 10 points. Strasbourg IG (13-9) is placed sixth in the ProA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Murphy's first season with the team. His overall stats this year are: 9.3ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.5apg. Murphy is a naturalized American. Despite he played previously for the USA U18 national team, Murphy is currently in the Finnish national team roster. Strangely he has never played in Finland.

International power forward Lauri Markkanen (213-97, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Arizona win their game against the Univ.of Calif.at Los Angeles (15-3) 86-75 in the NCAA last Friday. Markkanen recorded 29 points (!!!) and grabbed 6 rebounds in 32 minutes. The University of Arizona has a very solid 16-2 conference record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Markkanen has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.7ppg and 7.0rpg in 33 games. Markkanen plays currently for the Finnish national team.

   #6. Point guard Jamar Wilson (185-84, college: Albany, currently plays in Spain). He could not help Movil Estudiantes (17-5) to beat CB Canarias (18-5). Wilson scored 9 points and added 4 passes (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line). But Movil Estudiantes was badly defeated 82-63 on the road by the leading CB Canarias. Wilson's overall stats this season are: 8.3ppg and 1.6apg. He is a naturalized American. Wilson is an international player who is currently on the senior Finnish National Team roster. He used to play for Honka Espoo Playboys in Finnish league.

   #7. International guard Roope Ahonen (186-90, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Greece) was not able to help Kolossos HH in their game against Kymis (7-14) in the Greek A1. Ahonen scored 6 points in 24 minutes. Kolossos HH lost 64-74 on the opponent's court to the lower-ranked (#12) Kymis. This year Ahonen's overall stats are: 7.3ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.2apg in 21 games. He is also Finnish national team player.

There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Kotti's total stats this season are: 9.5ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.8apg. He plays currently for the Finnish national team.

Kanervo scored 7 points and added 3 assists in 20 minutes. Chorale de Roanne was crushed 96-70 on the opponent's court by the much higher-ranked (#3) Charleville-Mezieres. Madsen scored 6 points. The first-placed USK Praha (22-0) was defeated 81-71 at home by the leading CEZ Nymburk in the Places 1-6 group. Madsen has reliable stats this season: 11.1ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.7apg and 1.4bpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Finnish National Team roster.

   #11. International forward Matti Nuutinen (202-90, also represented by Blacktop Management, currently plays in France) is a teammate of previously mentioned Antti Kanervo and both played together in the last French ProB game. Nuutinen couldn't help Chorale de Roanne in their game against Charleville-Mezieres. He cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. Nuutinen scored only 2 points in 23 minutes. His team was crushed by 26 points 96-70. Nuutinen has averaged so far 6.8ppg and 2.5rpg in 22 games. He plays currently for the Finnish national team.

   #12. Former University international forward Julius Rajala (206-94, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the University of Southern Indiana in their game against the Findlay, OH in the NCAA2. Rajala recorded 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was edged 70-69 in the NCAA2. Rajala has averaged so far 9.3ppg and 4.0rpg. He used to play for the Finnish university national team back in 2015.

   #13. U20 international forward Samuli Nieminen (201-96, currently studies in the States) couldn't help the SF Austin in their game against the Texas A&M - Corpus Christi in the NCAA. Nieminen recorded 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 16 minutes. His team lost 69-77. Nieminen has averaged so far 4.0ppg and 1.8rpg in 13 games. He is also Finnish U20 national team player.

   #14. International forward Oskar Michelsen (206-95, is currently at the American university) couldn't help the Davidson in their game against the Rhode Island University in the NCAA. Michelsen cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points. His team was crushed by 24 points 84-60. Michelsen has averaged so far 1.3ppg and 1.1rpg. He plays currently for the Finnish national team.

   #15. International forward Shawn Hopkins (196-95, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help Troy University in a victory against the Georgia Southern University crushing them 90-70 in the NCAA on Friday night. Hopkins recorded only 2 points in 1 minutes on the court. Hopkins has averaged so far 2.8ppg and 1.7rpg in 18 games. He is also in the roster of the Finnish national team.

There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in Korisliiga. The most important game in the last round took place in Joensuu between third ranked Joensuun Kataja (24-10) and fourth ranked Kauhajoen Karhu (21-14) on Friday night. Joensuun Kataja was defeated by Kauhajoen Karhu at home 78-89. The game was mostly controlled by Kauhajoen Karhu. Joensuun Kataja managed to win third quarter 24-21. PuHu Juniorit - TuNMKY 82-74 PuHu Juniorit outgunned TuNMKY and clinched Division B title. TuNMKY trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 24-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-82 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was guard Pyry Rainamaa (194-90) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Eero Sahlberg (188-90) chipped in 21 points. American Raheem Appleby (190-G-93) put on an amazing game in the last round for Kouvot and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 37. The 23-year old guard had the game-high 22 points adding six rebounds and four assists for Kouvot in his team's victory, helping them to beat Kauhajoki (#4, 20-14) 96-91.
