The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 3 rounds.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Salon Vilpas as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Salon Vilpas smashed 7th ranked Kouvot at home 95-71. The game without a history. Salon Vilpas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Salon Vilpas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Desmond Williams (199-91, college: S.Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds and forward Brandon Edwards (198-91, college: Texas Arlington) who added 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Salon Vilpas' coach Joonas Iisalo felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Raheem Appleby (190-93, college: Louisiana Tech) with 19 points and 4 assists. Salon Vilpas (25-8) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion Kouvot keeps the seventh place with 19 games lost. Kouvot will play next round against strong Kauhajoen Karhu trying to get back on the winning streak. Salon Vilpas will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked UU-Korihait in Uusikaupunki.

Despite that victory Helsinki Seagulls went down to second position due to points difference. Lapuan Korikobrat lost fifth consecutive game. Loser Lapuan Korikobrat keeps the fifth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with BC Nokia. Helsinki Seagulls will meet Joensuun Kataja (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lapuan Korikobrat will play against KTP-Basket in Kotka and hope to secure a win.

Joensuun Kataja maintains third position with 22-9 record having five points less than leader Salon Vilpas. UU-Korihait lost third consecutive game. We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked KTP-Basket (12-21) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (12-21) 76-70 on Friday. The game without a history. Tampereen Pyrinto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to KTP-Basket's 34. They outrebounded KTP-Basket 48-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward J'Nathan Bullock (196-87, college: Cleveland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Tyrone Nelson (206-85, college: N.Mexico St., agency: Interperformances) who added 14 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Four Tampereen Pyrinto players scored in double figures. American Raheem Appleby (190-G-93) put on an amazing game in the last round for Kouvot and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 37. The 23-year old guard had the game-high 22 points adding six rebounds and four assists for Kouvot in his team's victory, helping them to beat Kauhajoki (#4, 20-14) 96-91.
