There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Korisliiga. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Joensuu. Third ranked Joensuun Kataja faced their biggest opponent Helsinki Seagulls. Host Joensuun Kataja (23-9) smashed guests from Helsinki (24-10) 82-53. The game without a history. Joensuun Kataja led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Joensuun Kataja dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Helsinki Seagulls' 28. Joensuun Kataja forced 20 Helsinki Seagulls turnovers and outrebounded them 39-25 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Joensuun Kataja made 7 blocks. American Rion Brown (198-91, college: Miami, FL) fired 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Canadian guard Daniel Mullings (188-91, college: N.Mexico St.) chipped in 17 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Jason Conley (196-81, college: Missouri, agency: Blacktop Management) produced 12 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Joensuun Kataja have a solid series of three victories in a row. Joensuun Kataja maintains third place with 23-9 record having five points less than leader Salon Vilpas. Helsinki Seagulls at the other side keeps the second position with ten games lost. Joensuun Kataja is looking forward to face KTP-Basket (#8) in Kotka in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Helsinki Seagulls will play on the road against the league's leader Salon Vilpas (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was played in Kotka between eighth ranked KTP-Basket and 5th ranked Lapuan Korikobrat where host KTP-Basket (13-21) won against Lapuan Korikobrat (15-19) 85-76. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Antwan Scott (188-92, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Monyea Pratt contributed with 20 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Guard Jamal Jones (203-93, college: Texas A&M, agency: Stealth Sport) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for Lapuan Korikobrat. KTP-Basket maintains eighth place with 13-21 record, which they share with Pyrinto. Lapuan Korikobrat lost sixth consecutive game. Lapuan Korikobrat at the other side keeps the fifth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Kouvot and BC Nokia. KTP-Basket will play against higher ranked Joensuun Kataja (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lapuan Korikobrat will play against BC Nokia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Raheem Appleby stepped up and scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. At the losing side Tate Unruh responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Defending champion (15-19) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with BC Nokia and Lapua. Kauhajoen Karhu lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 14 games lost. Kouvot will meet at home bottom-ranked UU-Korihait (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kauhajoen Karhu will play against Joensuun Kataja (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Leader Salon Vilpas delivered the twenty sixth victory. This time they beat 10th ranked UU-Korihait (5-29) 85-73 in Uusikaupunki. Al'Lonzo Coleman nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side. Salon Vilpas (26-8) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place. UU-Korihait lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 29 lost games. Salon Vilpas' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Helsinki Seagulls at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. UU-Korihait will play against Kouvot (#6) in Kouvola and hope to win that game.

Important game to mention about took place in Nokia. Ninth ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (13-21) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging higher ranked BC Nokia (15-19) 82-81 on Wednesday evening. The guests trailed by 13 points after three quarters before their 30-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Another exciting game was played in Kotka between eighth ranked KTP-Basket and 5th ranked Lapuan Korikobrat where host KTP-Basket (13-21) won against Lapuan Korikobrat (15-19) 85-76. It looked good early as Lapuan Korikobrat took a 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then KTP-Basket had a 32-19 second period charge getting the lead and Lapuan Korikobrat was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-85. KTP-Basket forced 20 Lapuan Korikobrat turnovers. Strangely Lapuan Korikobrat outrebounded KTP-Basket 39-26 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players.
