BC Nokia topped Kataja to even the series. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 22-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. BC Nokia dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Joensuun Kataja's 24. They outrebounded Joensuun Kataja 45-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Senegalese forward Papa Dia (208-87, college: SMU) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Javier Duren (193-93, college: Yale) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Teemu Rannikko (189-80) produced 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and American Rion Brown (198-91, college: Miami, FL) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Pyrinto - Salon Vilpas 69-104

Salon Vilpas stunned Pyrinto to secure 2-0 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Salon Vilpas. Tampereen Pyrinto managed to win fourth quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Salon Vilpas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tampereen Pyrinto's 36. Salon Vilpas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Al'Lonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Matias Ojala (199-89) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Five Salon Vilpas players scored in double figures. American forward Tyrone Nelson (206-85, college: N.Mexico St., agency: Interperformances) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Antero Lehto (185-84) scored 14 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Kauhajoki overcame Lapua to earn the second consecutive victory in the series. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-16. But Lapuan Korikobrat won second period 19-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was dominated by American players. Forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio, agency: Mansfield and Associates) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Devonne Giles (203-83, college: Texas Tech) supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by guard Jamal Jones (203-93, college: Texas A&M) did not help to save the game for Lapuan Korikobrat. Forward Lawrence Kinnard (203-86, college: UAB) added 16 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Five Kauhajoen Karhu and four Lapuan Korikobrat players scored in double figures.

Kouvot led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Rakeem Buckles (203-90, college: FIU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import guard James Sinclair (190-93, college: W.Carolina) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Kouvot players scored in double figures. Forward Timo Heinonen (198-81, agency: Blacktop Management) replied with 5 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU) added 12 points in the effort for Helsinki Seagulls. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
