There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Korisliiga.

The most surprising game was a loss of BC Nokia (1-1) on the court of Tampereen Pyrinto on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Tampereen Pyrinto 76-71. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 44-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The former international point guard Antero Lehto (185-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points. American forward Devonne Giles (203-83, college: Texas Tech) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Lawrence Gilbert (200-86, college: La-Monroe, agency: Mansfield and Associates) replied with 18 points and 4 assists for BC Nokia. BC Nokia's coach Ville Tuominen rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tampereen Pyrinto is looking forward to face Lapuan Korikobrat (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. BC Nokia will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Helsinki Seagulls (3-0) which played road game in Kauhajoki against Kauhajoki (1-1). Helsinki Seagulls had an easy win 98-77. Helsinki Seagulls' coach Mikko Larkas felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Flenard Whitfield (201-90, college: W.Michigan) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Helsinki Seagulls will play against Joensuun Kataja (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kauhajoki will play against Salon Vilpas to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game between Joensuun Kataja (1-0) and KTP-Basket (0-3) in Joensuu on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Joensuun Kataja outscored guests from Kotka 109-70.
