Angers celebrated LF2 title tonight. They shot down Nice in the Final. Julie Barennes (183-SF-86) stepped up with 16 points for the winners. The teams stayed close throughout the opening quarter. Angers managed though to eke out a 16:15 lead at the first break. Angers boosted the lead in the second period. They accounted for a 32:28 halftime advantage. Nice bounced back in the third frame. The home side limited their opponents to 9 points in the period to ensure a 43:41 lead before the fourth frame. But Angers dominated in the fourth quarter. The visitors triggered a 24:12 rally to snatch the win at the end. Johanna Cortinovis (190-F/C-86) delivered 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Aurelie Favre (175-F-91) contributed 11 points for the winners. Alexandra Tchangoue (180-F-85, college: Wake Forest) answered with 11 points for Nice. Margaux Galliou-Loko (184-F-93) and Elodie Decker (168-G-85) had 8 points each in the loss. Pau-Orthez finished third as they beat Calais 70:67 in the consolation final. Emilienne Vidal (181-F-91) and Laurie Lapeyre (178-F-82) came up with 14 points each to pace Pau-Orthez. Manon Sinico (180-G-85) topscored with 20 points for Calais.
