They built a 31-point buffer before the fourth quarter. Monaco managed to prevail in the fourth stanza but it had little impact on the final outcome. Robert Bonnici produced 15 points for Malta. Christopher Cordina netted 8 points and collected 9 rebounds in the victory. Jules Ba answered with 10 points and 17 rebounds for Monaco. Manuel Robinaud had 9 points in the loss. Malta will now take on Wales, while Monaco will fight against Gibraltar for the seventh position.

France beat Poland at the last game of the Qualifying Round at the U18 European Championship in Vilnius as both teams jumped to the Quarterfinals with the lucky 2-3 records. France needed narrow 69:65 win to finish fourth in Group E, while Poland advanced from the third place.

Bartoszewicz tied the game at 15:15, while Naurais closed the first period at 19:15. Trailing in the first part of the second frame Poland grabbed the lead later. Michal Michalak (194-G-93) at first tied the game at 25:25 and then Karnowski gave them 27:25. France managed to win the end of the frame with 7-0 to take 39:31 halftime advantage. Karnowski tied it again at 42:42 and Tomasz Gielo (204-F-93) scored for 49:45 as France enjoyed 4-point deficit at the end of thirty minutes. Due to 20-20 in the last period France celebrated the necessary victory. Poland meanwhile did not mind the narrow loss and advanced to the next stage from the higher spot. Thomas Ceci (197-G-92) and Rudy Gobert paced all the winners with 13 points each, while Hugo Invernizzi (196-F/G-93) netted 11. Michal Michalak ended up with 15 points in the losing effort and Tomasz Gielo added 13. Spain U18 overcame Slovenia U18 73:69 at the first game of the last day at the Qualifying Round but could not advance to the next stage. Spain improved to 2-3 record as both teams are out of Quarterfinals of the U18 European Championship.
