Here is the weekly review of the top performing French players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Tony Parker (183-82). He led San Antonio Spurs to a victory over the Los Angeles Clippers (40-26) 96-86 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. Parker was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 23 points and making 10 passes in 36 minutes on the court. The San Antonio Spurs have quite an impressive 50-16 record this season. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. Parker has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.4ppg, 2.9rpg, 7.6apg, 2FGP: 49.0%, 3FGP: 23.9% and FT: 80.1% in the 68 games he played so far. Parker is currently a member of the French senior national team.

Nando De Colo

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Nando De Colo (202-87). He was the main contributor in a Valencia Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Lagun Aro GBC (19-15) crushing them 82-60 in the Spanish ACB last Thursday. De Colo was the best player in that game. He recorded 26 points (!!!) and added 4 assists. Valencia Basket (20-14) is placed fourth in the ACB. De Colo belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #8) and also on the list of most steals (second place). He has very reliable stats this season: 13.4ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.9apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 46.5%, 3FGP: 36.2% and FT: 85.8%. De Colo is in the roster of the French senior national team.

   #3. The French player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Ali Traore (207-85, agency: Beo Basket, college: S.Idaho JC). He contributed to Lokomotiv's victory against the closely-ranked Triumph Lyubertsy (12-6) 91-79 in the Russian PBL on Saturday night. Traore was the top player that evening. He had a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 14 rebounds in a mere 17 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Lokomotiv Kuban (9-9) is placed fourth in the PBL. Traore has relatively good stats this year: 11.8ppg, 5.2rpg, 2FGP: 59.1%(97-164) and FT: 60.9% in the 20 games. He is also a member of the French senior national team.

   #4. Power forward Boris Diaw (203-82) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tony Parker. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Diaw contributed to an easy victory against the Los Angeles Clippers (40-26) 105-88. He scored 16 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists. The San Antonio Spurs have a very good 50-16 record this season. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. Diaw's overall stats this season are: 5.2ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.4apg. He is also French national team player.

   #5. Former international forward Yakhouba Diawara (201-82, college: Pepperdine), who plays in the Italian SerieA could not help Cimberio Varese (17-15) in their last game. Despite Diawara's very good performance Cimberio Varese was badly defeated 91-75 on the road by the leading Montepaschi Siena. He was the top scorer with 26 points. Diawara also added 7 rebounds (made all of his six free throws) in 32 minutes. It's Diawara's first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year: 15.2ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.5apg and 1.4spg in the 36 games. Diawara used to play for the French national team four years ago.

Point guard Afik Nissim (180-81, also represented by Beo Basket) contributed to Krka's victory against the second-ranked Union Olimpija (7-3) 72-63 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Tuesday night. He was the top player that evening. Nissim scored 17 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line). It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group Championship. Krka Novo Mesto (8-2) is placed first in Championship Group. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Nissim's overall stats this season are: 9.5ppg, 1.9rpg and 3.7apg. Despite he played previously for the Israeli national team, Nissim is also a former international player as he played for the French senior team four years ago.

   #7. International swingman Mickael Pietrus (198-82, agency: Court Side) contributed to an easy victory against the Philadelphia 76ers (35-31) 107-91 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. He scored 13 points in 24 minutes. The Boston Celtics have 39-27 record this season. This year Pietrus' overall stats are: 6.2ppg and 2.7rpg in the 53 games. Despite he played previously for the Israeli national team, Pietrus is currently in the French national team roster.

   #8. Guard Thomas Heurtel (188-89) contributed to a Caja Laboral's victory against the closely-ranked Gescrap BB (19-15) 77-73 in the Spanish ACB last Thursday. He recorded 8 points. Caja Laboral Vitoria (23-11) is placed third in the ACB. Heurtel's total stats this season are: 4.3ppg, 1.4rpg and 1.8apg. Despite he played previously for the Israeli national team, Heurtel is currently in the French U20 national team roster.

   #9. International forward Florent Pietrus (202-81) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nando De Colo. However that was another game of his team in Spanish ACB which brought him to that list. Pietrus helped Valencia Basket win their game against the closely-ranked Lagun Aro GBC (19-15) 75-67. He scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 21 minutes. Valencia Basket (20-14) is placed fourth in the ACB. This year Pietrus' total stats are: 3.2ppg and 3.3rpg in the 35 games. Despite he played previously for the Israeli national team, Pietrus is currently in the French national team roster.

   #10. Forward Aaron Cel (203-87), who plays in the Polish PLK was not able to help PGE Turow (2-8) in their last game on Monday. Despite his good performance the sixth-placed PGE Turow was defeated 74-69 in Zielona Gora by the higher-ranked Zastal ZG (#3) in the Group A. Cel was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 6 rebounds. Cel has averaged so far 7.1ppg and 3.6rpg. Despite he played previously for the Polish national team, Cel is also a former U20 international player as five years ago he still played for the French national team.

   #11. International power forward Ronny Turiaf (208-83, agency: Priority Sports, college: Gonzaga) was not able to secure a victory for the Miami Heat in their game against the Indiana Pacers in the NBA. He scored 5 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 17 minutes. His team was badly defeated by 19 points 94-75 in the NBA. Turiaf has averaged so far 3.1ppg and 4.1rpg in the 19 games. He plays currently for the French national team.

   #12. International forward Mickael Gelabale (201-83, another player represented by Court Side) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Khimky in their game against CSKA Moscow in the Russian PBL. Gelabale scored only 4 points and blocked 2 shots. His team was badly defeated by 18 points 79-61. Gelabale has averaged so far 4.5ppg and 2.5rpg. He is also in the roster of the French national team.

   #13. An experienced former international power forward Vasil Evtimov (207-77, agency: Interperformances, college: N.Carolina) helped Levski Sofia edge the closely-ranked Tundja Yambol 89-87 in the Bulgarian NBL in Wednesday night's game. Evtimov recorded 6 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 27 minutes. Evtimov is currently second on the list of best rebounders with 9.8rpg. He also averaged so far 8.9ppg and 1.6apg in the 30 games. Despite Evtimov played previously for the Bulgarian national team, he is currently in the French national team roster.

   #14. Former international center Mohamed Kone (211-81, college: Valparaiso) couldn't help Meridiano Alicante in their game against Regal FC Barcelona in the Spanish ACB. Kone was the second best scorer with 9 points. His team was crushed by 27 points 84-57. He has averaged so far 4.9ppg and 3.5rpg. Despite Kone played previously for the Ivorian national team, he is currently in the French national team roster.

   #15. International center Sylvere Bryan (208-81, another player represented by Interperformances, college: Tampa) couldn't help Umana Venezia in their game against Armani Milano in the Italian SerieA. Bryan recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 17 minutes. His team was crushed by 29 points 92-63. He has averaged so far 3.3ppg and 3.1rpg in the 32 games. Bryan is also in the roster of the French national team.

Nanterre - Le Mans 96:79 Nanterre celebrated the French Cup title. They knocked down Le Mans in the Final tonight. Chris Warren (178-PG-88, college: Mississippi) produced 26 points to lead the winners. Nanterre eked out a 23:19 lead ten minutes into the game. They maintained the lead throughout the second term. Cholet Basket (ProA) landed 31-year old Montenegrin international power forward Ivan Maras (207-110kg-86). He played recently at Doxa Lefkadas in Greek A1 league. In 10 games he averaged 15.0ppg, 7.4rpg and 1.1apg this season. Maras also spent pre-season at Naft Abadan (Superleague) in Iran earlier that year where in 5 A1 games he had 12.6ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.4spg.
