Among other achievements his team was regular season runner-up in Big Ten in 2006 and 2009. Jackson graduated from Hawaii-Pacific University in 2010 and it is his third season in pro basketball. The scouts decsribe him following way: Athletic undersized big guy who will be very good big for mid-level leagues. Can shoot up to 15 feet from basket, nice face-up game and good with back around the basket with decent hands. Runs floor well and footwork is good. Very good rebounder and shot blocker in lower leagues. Not extremely long, but very strong and will take up a lot of space around the basket at higher level, but length will be an issue that he will work hard to overcome. Did not play much at NCAA Division I level, but excelled at D-II level.
