Australia opened their European Tour with victory. The Opals held off France at the start of Game on Sheffield Tournament in United Kingdom. Cambage Elizabeth (203-C-91) came up with 28 points to pace the winners. Australia jumped to a 21:11 lead after ten minutes. France bounced back in the second frame. They went on a 20:8 run to take a 31:29 halftime lead. But the Opals took over once again in the third quarter. Australia held Les Bleus to just 11 points in the period to ensure a 47:42 lead. Australia scored 22 points in the fourth frame and sealed the victory at the end. Belinda Snell (181-F-81) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds, while Lauren Jackson (196-F/C-81) accounted for 13 points for the Opals. Sandrine Gruda (193-C-87) answered with 13 points for France. Isabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui (190-C-86) finished with 12 points in the loss.

Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration Basket (LFB) added to their roster 18-year old guard Fleur Devillers (181-95). She started last season at Centre Federal BB (LF2).
