Australia opened their European Tour with victory. The Opals held off France at the start of Game on Sheffield Tournament in United Kingdom. Cambage Elizabeth (203-C-91) came up with 28 points to pace the winners.
Australia jumped to a 21:11 lead after ten minutes. France bounced back in the second frame. They went on a 20:8 run to take a 31:29 halftime lead. But the Opals took over once again in the third quarter. Australia held Les Bleus to just 11 points in the period to ensure a 47:42 lead. Australia scored 22 points in the fourth frame and sealed the victory at the end. Belinda Snell (181-F-81) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds, while Lauren Jackson (196-F/C-81) accounted for 13 points for the Opals. Sandrine Gruda (193-C-87) answered with 13 points for France. Isabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui (190-C-86) finished with 12 points in the loss.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Bourges (8-2) in Mont de Marsan on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Basket Landes (7-3) 66-59. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bourges. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Power forward Sarah Ousfar (183-PF-93) had a very impressive game in the last round for Reims, receiving a Eurobasket.com LF2 Player of the Week award for round 10. The 23-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, six rebounds) to her team's victory, helping them to edge out Aulnoye (#10, 3-7) 56-53. Reims is placed at 6th position in French LF2. Sixth-ranked Toulouse (5-5) gave a tough game to first ranked Avenir (9-1) in Chartres on Saturday. Avenir managed to secure only one-point victory 54-53. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Toulouse won third quarter 14-11.
