The Regular Season in ProB just started.

Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Hyeres-Toulon 88-67
The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 21 points. Pau-Lacq-Orthez dominated on the defensive end, holding Hyeres-Toulon to just 6 points in second quarter. Pau-Lacq-Orthez had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Charles Jackson (203-F-87, agency: Court Side, college: Hawaii-Pacific) (203-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific, agency: Court Side) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Brian Boddicker (204-81, college: Texas) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. Pau-Lacq-Orthez's coach Claude Bergeaud felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Corey McIntosh (183-85, college: Iowa St., agency: Court Side) responded with 22 points and power forward Terence Dials (206-83, college: Ohio St.) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds.

Visiting Bordeaux was defeated by Charleville-Mezieres in a tough game in Charleville 94-98. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 31-25 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Charleville-Mezieres especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Fabien Calvez (187-84, college: Evansville) fired 20 points and 9 assists for the winners (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine, agency: JEMsports) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Nate Carter (201-83, college: Oklahoma) produced 24 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and guard Matthieu Guichard (188-88) added 23 points respectively for lost side. Five Charleville-Mezieres and four Bordeaux players scored in double figures. Bordeaux's coach Jean-Marc Dupraz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

ALM Evreux outrebounded Nantes 35-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Nantes was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Jeremiah Wood (200-85, agency: Court Side) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Steeve Ho You Fat (203-88) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). At the losing side American power forward James Mathis (200-84, college: Niagara, agency: Court Side) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Terrance Henry (208-89, college: Mississippi, agency: Pro One Sports) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds.

The game was mostly controlled by Chalons-Reims. Denain Voltaire was better in third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Kevin Corre (202-85) nailed 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Rodrigue Mels (188-85, college: CS Northridge, agency: Three Eye Sports) accounted for 13 points and 4 steals. Chalons-Reims' coach Nikola Antic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import power forward Marcus Kitts (205-89, college: William & Mary) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Denain Voltaire in the defeat.

It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Lille Metropole's pressure prevailed and they won that period 32-21 extending their advantage to 13 points. Lille Metropole forced 20 Fos Ouest turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Fos Ouest helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Steffon Bradford (198-78, college: Nebraska, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Naturalized Congolese guard Loic Akono (177-87) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Lille Metropole players scored in double figures. The game without a history. Olympique Antibes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 62.1 percent from the field. Olympique Antibes looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) stepped up and scored 28 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Olympique Antibes players scored in double figures. At the losing side Jamaican-American Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary) responded with 31 points (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!) and American point guard Ronnie Taylor (188-81, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Court Side) scored 12 points and 9 assists. Le Portel's coach Eric Girard gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
