Round 3 means everything may happen in LFB as the season just started. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results.

Lattes Montp. - Union Hainaut 70-54
The game was mostly controlled by Lattes Montpellier. Union Hainaut was better in second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lattes Montpellier made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Edwige Lawson-Wade (166-PG-79) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Geraldine Robert (184-80) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Bulgarian center Vera Perostiyska (196-82, college: FIU) who recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds and American-Greek power forward Stefanie Murphy (193-89, college: Boston Coll.) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively.

Perpignan managed to secure a 4-point victory 50-46 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Toulouse won third quarter 9-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Perpignan won last quarter 12-10. It was a great evening for Australian center Abby Bishop (189-88) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Helena Ciak (197-89) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. Perpignan's coach Francois Gomez used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Carrem Gay (188-87, college: Duke) with 7 points and 9 rebounds and guard Agathe Degorces (168-92) scored 8 points.

Ladies Liege Panthers (Top Division Women) signed 24-year old French center Fatoumata Tandian (188-92). The last time (12-13) she played at US Laveyron Drome in French NF1 league. Tandian missed last season and had one year break from professional basketball.
