After 5 rounds played we can already see who rules in the ProA and who belongs to weaker ones. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with extra overtimes, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Seventh ranked Cholet (3-2) beat at home 15th ranked Poitiers (1-4) by 15 points 86-71, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Terrell Everett stepped up and scored 20 points and 9 assists for the winners. Poitiers' coach Rudy Nelhomme rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cholet moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Poitiers lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Ludovic Vaty (206-C-88, college: Moraine Valley CC) will have to end his pro career. Heart problems caused a tough and sad decision for the promising player. Ludovic Vaty spent the last two seasons in Gravelines. Last season the centre posted 12.7 points and 5.5 boards per game in EuroChallenge. In ProA his stats read 10.8 points, 6.2 rebounds per appearance. He made it into All-EuroChallenge 2nd Team. Ludovic Vaty was also named French Leaders Cup MVP [read more]
