Bottom-ranked Limoges is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to seventh ranked Reims (4-2) 74-65 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 44-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Reims forced 24 Limoges turnovers. Strangely Limoges outrebounded Reims 44-24 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Emmanuelle Gorjeu (172-G-89) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 4 assists. Guard Anais Jomby (168-86) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Senegalese center Aida Fall (192-86) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds for Limoges. Reims have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Limoges at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with CFBB and Dunkerque. Reims are looking forward to face SIG (#9) in llkirch-Graff. in the next round. Limoges will play on the road against Dunkerque (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

COB Calais will play against league's leader Nice on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dunkerque will play against Limoges (#13) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.

It was an exceptional evening for Johana Tayeau who led the winners and scored 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!). Fleur Devillers came up with 15 points for CFBB in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Roche moved-up to eighth place. Loser CFBB still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Limoges and Dunkerque. Roche will meet at home higher ranked LTB 29 (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 7 Pau Orthez was smashed by LTB 29 on the road 78-53. SIG lost to Laveyron on its own court 66-70.

LTB 29 - Pau Orthez 78-53

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked LTB 29's (5-1) home victory over 6th ranked Pau Lacq Orthez (4-3) in Pleyber-Christ 78-53 on Saturday. LTB 29 forced 24 Pau Lacq Orthez turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Senegalese forward Oumou Toure (190-88) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Aude Kernevez (163-89) accounted for 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Naturalized Senegalese forward Mariame Dia (185-78) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Senegalese forward Awa Gueye (182-78) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Pau Lacq Orthez in the defeat. LTB 29 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Angers. Newly promoted Pau Lacq Orthez dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. LTB 29 will meet Roche (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Pau Lacq Orthez will have a break next round.

COB Calais led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Dunkerque's 40. COB Calais forced 21 Dunkerque turnovers. Very expected game when 9th ranked SIG (1-4) lost to fourth ranked Laveyron (5-2) in llkirch-Graff. 66-70 on Saturday. SIG was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 19-11 charge of Laveyron, which allowed them to win the game. Laveyron outrebounded SIG 39-26 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple) who led the winners and scored 27 points. Naturalized Russian forward Elena Vishnyakova (191-78, college: G.Washington) accounted for 12 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side. Center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Kathleen Bourdin (162-87) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for SIG in the defeat. SIG's coach Philippe Breitenbucher rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Laveyron maintains fourth place with 5-2 record. Loser SIG keeps the ninth position with four games lost.
