Mons-Hainaut needs overtime to outgun Paris-Levallois in one of the most interesting games of Round 2 in EuroChallenge. The Belgium team won 86:84 and tied both records at 1-1. Paris-Levallois grabbed 23-16 lead at the end of the first period, but could taste only 1-point lead at the halftime. Guy Muya (190-PG-83, agency: TSS Management) and Josh Bostic (196-F-87, college: Findlay, OH) nailed three-pointer each for 41:40 at the end of 20 minutes. Paris-Levallois looked better in the third quarter and led 58:56 after it. They allowed however the opponents to tie the game at the end of the fourth period when Guy Muya closed the period at 71:71. In overtime Mons-Hainaut scored the last six points from the free throw line and won the thriller. Quincy Taylor (196-G-82, college: UAB) erupted with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists, while Brian Qvale (210-C-88, college: Montana) collected 17 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Bostic posted 14, while Guy Muya notched 13 and Monwell Randle (203-F/C-83, agency: Court Side, college: SE Missouri St.) added 10. Sean May (206-F-84, college: N.Carolina) answered with 22 points in defeat and Andrew Albicy (178-PG-90) poured in 21 points. Jawad Williams (204-F-83, college: N.Carolina) delivered 12, whilst Maleye N'Doye (203-F-80, college: Furman) had 10.
Sorgues-Avignon-Le Pontet Vaucluse (NM1) inked 24-year old guard Brice Pierard (193-92). He is a well-known player in French NM2 as he played most recently at Union Sportive Charitoise (NM2). He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. The previous (14-15) season Pierard played at ASA Sceaux (NM2). A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Slovenian League All-Star Game. Prepelic also played 13 games in Eurocup where Prepelic averaged 7.2ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.6apg. He also played 21 games in ABA League where Prepelic averaged 10.8ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.5apg. The 2013-14 season he played at Banvit (BSL) in Turkish league. The team played in three different competitions that year, and Prepelic had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 27 BSL games Prepelic averaged 5.4ppg, 1.2rpg and 1.1apg. He contributed to his team winning the regular season and make it to the semifinals. Prepelic also played 2 games in Euroleague where Prepelic averaged 6.0ppg and 2.5apg. He also played 16 games in Eurocup where Prepelic averaged 6.1ppg and 2.0rpg. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Slovenian Cup in 2013. Prepelic was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Slovenian League Most Improved Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Slovenian League Guard of the Year back in 2012. He has been also a member of Slovenian international program for some years. Prepelic has regularly played for Slovenian senior team since 2013 and previously for U20 National Team between 2011 and 2012. He also represented Slovenia at the European Championships last year. His stats at that event were 6 games: 9.8ppg, 4.2rpg, 4.2apg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 44.0%, FT: 78.3%. Prepelic has played previously professionally in Italy and Slovenia (Helios and Branik).
