Both teams are now tied at 2-2 record in Group G. The teams stayed neck and neck throughout the first quarter. Basket Landes led by a single point 20:19 ten minutes into the encounter. The French side extended the margin in the second quarter. They posted a 41:34 halftime advantage. Basket Landes exploded with 29 points in the third quarter. The hosts accumulated a 22-point buffer heading into the fourth frame. Partizan Galenika narrowed the deficit in the final period but came up way short of victory at the end. Kamila Stepanova (191-C-88) netted 13 points, while Jennifer Humphrey (191-C-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Kentucky) delivered 17 points and 8 boards for Landes. Marina Mandic (191-G-83) answered with 16 points for Partizan Galenika. Tamara Radocaj (170-PG-87) had 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the loss.

Here is the weekly review of the top performing French players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is an international center Sandrine Gruda (193-87). She could not help Fenerbahce (3-1) in their last game. Despite Gruda's very good performance the fifth-placed Fenerbahce (3-1) was edged 72-69 at home by the leading Dynamo Kursk in the group A of Euroleague.

#1. This week's number one is an international center Sandrine Gruda (193-87, currently plays in Euroleague). She could not help Fenerbahce (3-1) in their last game. Despite Gruda's very good performance the fifth-placed Fenerbahce (3-1) was edged 72-69 at home by the leading Dynamo Kursk in the group A of Euroleague.
She was the top scorer with 21 points. Gruda also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 31 minutes on the court.
It was Fenerbahce's first loss after three consecutive victories.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Gruda's first year with the team.
Gruda is currently third on the list of top scorers with 19.7ppg.
She also averaged so far 7.0rpg, 3.3apg, 2FGP: 69.7%(23-33) and FT: 92.9% in three games she played so far.
Gruda is currently a member of the French senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international center Isabelle Yacoubou (190-86, currently plays in Italy). She led Familia Schio to a victory over the sixth-ranked Ragusa (4-4) 66-53 in the Italian Serie A1 last Sunday.
Yacoubou was MVP of the game. She recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 11 rebounds. Yacoubou also added 3 assists.
Famila Wuber Schio (8-0) is placed first in the Serie A1.
So far her team won all eight games in the Regular Season.
Yacoubou has relatively good stats this season: 12.2ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.2apg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 45.8% and FT: 88.9%.
She is in the roster of the French senior national team.
#3. The French player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Nwal-Endene Miyem (188-88, currently plays in Italy) is a teammate of previously mentioned Isabelle Yacoubou and both played together in the last Italian Serie A1 game.
Miyem was the major contributor in a Familia Schio's victory against the sixth-ranked Ragusa (4-4) 66-53.
She scored 14 points and added 4 passes in 31 minutes.
It's Miyem's first season with the team.
This year Miyem has relatively solid stats: 10.9ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 54.5%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 81.3% in seven games.
Ex-Cercle Jean Mace Bourges player is also a member of the French senior national team.
#4. Center Helena Ciak (197-89, currently plays in Euroleague) faced previously mentioned Sandrine Gruda in the Euroleague last game.
Ciak managed to help Dynamo Kursk in a 3-point victoryagainst the fifth-ranked Fenerbahce (3-1) 72-69.
She recorded only 4 points in 13 minutes.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
This year Ciak's overall stats are: 8.3ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.3bpg in four games.
She has a dual citizenship: Polish and French.
Ciak is also French national team player.
#5. Former U18 international forward Rudiane Eduardo (185-93, college: UTEP, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help ADBA (2-6) in their last game. Despite Eduardo's very good performance ADBA (#12) lost 63-67 on the road to the higher-ranked (#6) Segle XXI in the Group A.
She had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 11 rebounds in 37 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Eduardo's first season in pro basketball. It was ADBA's fourth consecutive loss in a row.
But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen.
This year Eduardo's total stats are: 9.9ppg and 6.3rpg in eight games.
She used to play for the French U18 national team
five years ago.
#6. Guard Margot Vidal-Geneve (165-95, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for ChemCats Chemnitz (8-4) in their game against TV Saarlouis Royals (8-2) in the German DBBL.
She recorded only 4 points and added 3 passes in 34 minutes.
ChemCats Chemnitz was badly defeated 65-49 in Saarlouis by the second-ranked TV Royals.
Vidal-Geneve is currently fifth on the list of most steals with 2.5spg.
This year she also averages: 11.0ppg, 3.2rpg and 3.0apg in 10 games.
Vidal-Geneve is U20 international player as she played for the French team one years ago.
#7. Former U18 international forward Clarisse Berranger (190-93, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to a Wake Forest's surprising victory against the Furman University 59-52 in the NCAA on Wednesday night.
She recorded only 2 points in 4 minutes on the court.
The Wake Forest University has conference record this season.
This year Berranger averages just 0.8ppg in six games.
She used to play for the French U18 national team
five years ago.
#8. Forward Carole Leclair (185-89, currently plays in Switzerland) couldn't help Geneve Basket (3-4) in their game against Helios (6-2) in the Swiss LNA.
Leclair scored only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It was her first game for Geneve Basket this season.
Geneve Basket was crushed 85-41 on their home court in Geneve by the second-ranked Helios.
Leclair used to play for the French university national team
back in 2009.

She recorded 9 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists.
TSV 1880 Wasserburg (9-1) is placed first in the DBBL.
It was her team's eighth consecutive victory in a row.
Lucet has reliable stats this season: 13.3ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.3apg and 1.7spg.
#2.Magaly Meynadier (170-SG-91, currently plays in Germany) was the major contributor in a TV Saarlouis Royals' victory against the seventh-ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (4-6) 65-49 in the German DBBL on Sunday night.
She recorded 13 points and had 3 steals.
TV Saarlouis Royals (8-2) is placed second in the DBBL.
This season Meynadier averages: 4.6ppg, 2.1rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3spg.
She has a dual citizenship: French and Luxembourg.
#3.Queteline Celestin (173-G-87, currently plays in Canada) could not help the Universite de Quebec a Montreal (3-1) in their last game on Friday. Despite Celestin's good performance the Universite de Quebec a Montreal (#2) was defeated 76-68 on the road by the Rouge et Or.
She was the second best scorer with 11 points. Celestin also added 7 boards, dished 8 assists and stole 4 balls (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line).
But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go.
Celestin is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her fifth year in Universite de Quebec a Montreal's roster.
She is currently seventh on the league's list of best passers.
Celestin has very reliable stats this season: 14.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 4.5apg and 2.0spg.
#4.Pauline Diawakana (170-G-92, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help Hannover (5-5) in their last game. Despite her good performance Hannover lost 73-82 in Herne to the higher-ranked (#4) r TC.
Diawakana recorded 12 points in 21 minutes.
Diawakana has averaged so far 9.7ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.9apg and 1.3spg in 10 games she played so far.
#5.Cyrielle Recoura (172-G-91, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for Fireballs (8-2) in their game against SV Halle Lions (3-6) in the German DBBL. Despite her good performance in Sunday night's game She recorded 10 points.
This season Recoura averages: 8.5ppg and 1.9rpg.
#6.Melisa Mendes (175-G-88, college: UTEP, currently plays in United Kingdom) contributed to a Nottingham Wildcats' victory against the closely-ranked Suns 76-64 in the British WBBL on Saturday night.

Serbian Miljana Bojovic (181-G-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Bourges and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The 29-year old guard had the game-high 21 points adding four rebounds and three assists for Bourges in her team's victory, helping them to beat Villeneuve (#7, 4-4) 68-62. It allowed Bourges to consolidate first place in the French LFB. Bourges have a solid 7-1 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Bojovic as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Bojovic has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in assists (5th best: 4.7apg) and averages solid 54.5% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old American center Porsha Roberts (188-C-93) of Hainaut. Roberts impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Hainaut to another comfortable win 71-56 over Angers (2-6) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Hainaut managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 10th place. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Hainaut managed to get this year. Roberts is well-known by Hainaut fans and she already established her position as one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Canadian Kimberley Gaucher-Smith (185-F-84) of Mondeville (#5). Gaucher-Smith showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, sixteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Gaucher-Smith's great performance Mondeville lost 73-82 to slightly higher-ranked Lattes Montp. (#3, 6-2). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Mondeville needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Gaucher-Smith has a very solid season. In 8 games in France she scored 13.3ppg. She also has 8.5rpg and 2.4spg.
