Boddicker's 27 points and 7 rebounds give him ProB Player of the Week award - Nov 18, 2012

Lance Allred
31-year old forward Brian Boddicker (204-F-81) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez and receives a Eurobasket.com ProB Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had the game-high 27 points adding seven rebounds for Pau-Lacq-Orthez in his team's victory, helping them to crush Boulogne (#11, 5-5) with 25-point margin 101-76. Pau-Lacq-Orthez maintains the 2nd position in French ProB. They are still close to the very top. Pau-Lacq-Orthez would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. In the team's last game Boddicker had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Pau-Lacq-Orthez's top player in his first season with the team. The University of Texas graduate has very impressive stats this year. Boddicker is in league's top in points (6th best: 19.2ppg) and averages solid 66.2% FGP and 46.4% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was O'Darien Bassett (191-G-86) of Rouen. He is American guard in his first season at Rouen. In the last game Bassett recorded impressive 35 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Rouen lost that game 78-84 to slightly higher-ranked Fos Ouest (4-6). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Rouen dropped in the standings to 13th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Bassett is a newcomer at Rouen and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to David Monds (205-C/F-83) of Bourg (#7). Monds scored 26 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Bourg, leading his team to a 88-80 win against slightly higher-ranked Chalons-Reims (#5, 6-4). Bourg needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 5 lost games. Monds has a great season in France. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 9.0rpg (8th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Tim Blue (205-F-84) of Antibes - 30 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Sherman Gay (201-PF-82) of Le Portel - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Steeve Ho You Fat (203-PF-88) of Evreux - 21 points and 7 rebounds
7. James Mathis (200-F/C-84) of Nantes - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
8. John Williamson (199-F/C-86) of Fos Ouest - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Julien Lesieu (201-C/F-83) of St Quentin - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Thomas Coleman (205-F/C-88) of Bordeaux - 22 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

NM1 Round 2 of Regular Season - 9 hours ago

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in NM1. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. First defeat of league's leader Caen (1-1) against Souffelweyersheim (2-0) 74-58 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 41-20 charge in the s...   [read more]
