The game between Top Four teams took place in Laveyron. 4th ranked host Laveyron (5-3) lost to second ranked Angers (6-1) 65-53. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Laveyron. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 12 points. Angers forced 21 Laveyron turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Johanna Cortinovis (190-F/C-86) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Camille Aubert (171-89) who added 11 points during the contest. Angers' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Angers have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Angers maintains second position with 6-1 record behind leader Nice, which they share with LTB 29. Laveyron at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Angers is looking forward to face Reims (#4) at home in the next round. Laveyron will have a break next round.
Dunkerque has finally registered their first victory this season after six consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Limoges (0-7) 80-79. The winners were led by American center Sabrina Scott (190-81, college: Colorado) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and Melissa Micaletto supported her with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Even 20 points and 9 rebounds by Senegalese center Aida Fall (192-86) did not help to save the game for Limoges. Dunkerque (1-6) left bottom position moving up to tenth place. It was Limoges' seventh loss in a row. They still closes the standings with seven games lost. Dunkerque will play against CFBB (#12) in Paris in the next round. Limoges will play at home against COB Calais and hopes to get finally their first victory.

The best player for the winners was Alexandra Tchangoue who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Kierra Mallard produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. Undefeated Nice have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Loser COB Calais dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Nice will meet Pau Lacq Orthez (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. COB Calais will play against Limoges and hope to secure a win.
The game in La Roche supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked LTB 29 (6-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Roche (2-5). LTB 29 smashed Roche 77-44. Oumou Toure orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. LTB 29 have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Angers. Roche at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. LTB 29 will have a break next round. Roche will play on the road against SIG (#9) in llkirch-Graff. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 8 SIG lost to Reims on the opponent's court 67-74.

Nice - COB Calais 76-63

LF2 top team - Nice (7-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked COB Calais (4-2) 76-63. The game was mostly controlled by Nice. COB Calais managed to win second period 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded COB Calais 43-31 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Nice especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was forward Alexandra Tchangoue (180-85, college: Wake Forest) who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Fabienne Constant (186-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. American power forward Kierra Mallard (190-90, college: Texas Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and forward Floriane Herrscher (187-84) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests.
