Souleyman
Diabate
25-year old point guard Souleyman Diabate (183-PG-87, agency: Beo Basket) put on an amazing game in the last round for Nancy and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had the game-high 24 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Nancy in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Gravelines (#4, 4-3) in overtime 83-79. Nancy is placed at 14th position in French league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Diabate had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Nancy's top player in his first season with the team. Diabate has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.3ppg) and averages solid 53.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Uche Nsonwu-Amadi (208-F/C-78, agency: Beo Basket) of league's second-best ASVEL. He is Nigerian forward in his first season at ASVEL. In the last game Nsonwu-Amadi recorded impressive 19 points and 8 rebounds. It was enough for ASVEL to edge the lower-ranked Paris-Levallois (#7, 4-3) by 6 points 82-76. This victory allowed ASVEL to move up to second position in the standings. His team's 5-2 record is not bad at all. Nsonwu-Amadi is a newcomer at ASVEL and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Ahmad Nivins (206-F-87) of Poitiers (#16). Nivins scored 17 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Nivins' great performance Poitiers lost 66-67 to the higher-ranked Limoges (#12, 3-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Poitiers can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 2-5 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Nivins he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Nivins has individually a great season in France. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.4ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 7.4rpg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jahmar Young (196-G-86) of Orleans - 33 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Darryl Monroe (202-C/F-86) of Boulazac - 21 points and 5 rebounds
6. Terrell Everett (193-G-84) of Cholet - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Amara Sy (202-F-81) of ASVEL - 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Marc-Antoine Pellin (169-PG-87) of Orleans - 17 points, 2 rebounds and 9 assists
9. Marcus Goree (201-F-77) of Cholet - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Nobel Boungou Colo (202-F-88) of Limoges - 21 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
