Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of French who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international small forward Nicolas Batum (203-88, currently plays in NBA). He led Portland Trail Blazers to an overtime victory over the Houston Rockets (4-7) 119-117 in the NBA in Friday night's game. Batum was MVP of the game. He scored 35 points (!!!), had 6 boards, handed out 4 passes and blocked 5 shots in 47 minutes on the court. The Portland Trail Blazers have 5-5 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Batum has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 20.6ppg, 6.1rpg, 3.1apg, 1.2bpg, 2.1spg, 2FGP: 54.8%, 3FGP: 40.8% and FT: 78.6% in the 10 games he played so far. Batum is currently a member of the French senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Tony Parker (188-82, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the San Antonio Spurs (8-3) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Parker's very good performance the San Antonio Spurs were defeated 104-100 on the road by the New York Knicks. He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and making 12 passes. Parker also added 6 rebounds. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Parker's 12th year with the team. This season he has very high stats. Parker averages: 13.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 7.7apg, 2FGP: 41.1% and FT: 75.0%. He is in the roster of the French senior national team.

   #3. The French player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Joakim Noah (211-85, college: Florida, currently plays in NBA). Noah was the major contributor in an overtime Chicago Bulls' victory against the Phoenix Suns (4-7) 112-106 in the NBA on Wednesday night. He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 12 rebounds. Noah also added 5 assists and 2 blocks in 42 minutes. The Chicago Bulls have 5-5 record this season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Noah is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his sixth year in Bulls' roster. He has very impressive stats this season: 14.8ppg, 10.0rpg, 4.0apg, 2.0bpg, 1.3spg and FT: 80.9% in the 10 games. Noah is a naturalized American. He played for the French national team one years ago. Strangely Noah has never played in France.

   #4. Small forward Mickael Gelabale (201-83, agency: Three Eye Sports, currently plays in Euroleague) led his Croatian team Cedevita to a double overtime (!!!) victory over the leader Zalgiris (5-1) 108-106 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. He was the best player in that game. Gelabale recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 10 rebounds. KK Cedevita Zagreb (2-4) is placed fifth in group C. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Gelabale's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 15.0ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.7apg. Gelabale is also French national team player.

   #5. International forward Florent Pietrus (202-81, currently plays in Eurocup) led his Spanish team Valencia Basket to a victory against the closely-ranked Azovmash (0-3) 76-70 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. He scored 12 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 30 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Valencia Basket (3-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. There are only three games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Pietrus' overall stats are: 6.3ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.3apg in the three games. He plays currently for the French national team.

   #6. Power forward Boris Diaw (203-82, currently plays in NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tony Parker. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Diaw contributed to an easy victory against the Denver Nuggets (5-6) crushing them 126-100. He recorded 9 points and added 5 assists. The San Antonio Spurs have a solid 8-3 record this season. Diaw's total stats this year are: 4.6ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.5apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior French National Team roster.

   #7. International center Kevin Seraphin (206-89, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA was not able to help the Washington Wizards (0-9) in their last game. Despite Seraphin's very good performance the Washington Wizards lost 101-107 in Dallas to the Mavericks. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Seraphin also added 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 22 minutes. So far Wizards lost all nine games in the Regular Season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. This year Seraphin has relatively solid stats: 10.1ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.1apg in the eight games. He is also French national team player.

   #8. Guard Leo Westermann (198-92, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Besiktas (3-3) 87-72 in the Euroleague last Thursday. Westermann scored 13 points and added 8 passes. BC Partizan MT:S Beograd (1-5) is placed fifth in group D. They ended the series of five consecutive loses. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Westermann's total stats this season are: 9.8ppg, 2.3rpg and 3.8apg. He plays currently for the French U20 national team.

   #9. Former U20 international guard Thomas Heurtel (188-89, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Spain was not able to secure a victory for Caja Laboral (1-5) in their last game. Despite Heurtel's good performance the sixth-placed Caja Laboral was badly defeated 89-72 at home by the higher-ranked (#3) Olympiacos in the group C of Euroleague. He scored 11 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 26 minutes. It was Caja Laboral's third consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. This year Heurtel's total stats are: 5.3ppg, 3.2rpg and 4.2apg in the six games. He used to play for the French U20 national team three years ago.

   #10. Forward Aaron Cel (203-87, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL couldn't help PGE Turow (5-2) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Cel's good performance PGE Turow was defeated 85-79 in Koszalin by the lower-ranked AZS Koszalin (#5). He was the top scorer with 13 points. Cel also added 8 rebounds and dished 5 assists (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line). Cel is currently first on the league's list of best rebounders. He has very reliable stats this season: 13.3ppg, 9.6rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg. Cel is a former U20 international player as five years ago he still played for the French national team.

   #11. Former international power forward Adrien Moerman (203-88, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked FIATC Joventut 80-62 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. He scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 17 minutes. Moerman has averaged so far 5.2ppg and 2.2rpg in the six games. He used to play for the French national team two years ago.

   #12. International shooting guard Nando De Colo (196-87, currently plays in NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tony Parker. He played also in the last NBA game facing Boris Diaw (above) in the other team. De Colo managed to help San Antonio Spurs in a victory against the Denver Nuggets crushing them 126-100. He recorded 5 points and added 3 assists in 17 minutes. This year De Colo averages only 1.5ppg in the six games. He is also in the roster of the French national team.

   #13. Former international forward Tariq Kirksay (199-79, college: Iona, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an Asefa Estudiantes' victory against the closely-ranked Unicaja Malaga 85-74 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. Kirksay scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Kirksay is currently sixth on the league's list of best rebounders and also on the list of most steals (first place). This season he has very good stats: 12.1ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.9apg and 2.1spg. Kirksay is a naturalized American. He used to play for the French national team four years ago. Kirksay played also for Mulhouse in French league.

   #14. International power forward Ian Mahinmi (206-86, currently plays in NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Dallas Mavericks crushing them 103-83 in the NBA on Friday night. He scored 7 points in only 13 minutes. Mahinmi has averaged so far 4.2ppg and 3.3rpg in the 12 games. He used to play for the French national team last year.

   #15. International shooting guard Evan Fournier (199-92, currently plays in NBA) faced previously mentioned Boris Diaw in the NBA last game. Fournier, who plays in the NBA couldn't help the Denver Nuggets (5-6) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance the Denver Nuggets were crushed 126-100 in San Antonio by the Spurs. Fournier recorded 10 points. He has averaged so far 4.3ppg and 1.3apg. Fournier used to play for the French national team last year.


The list of other players, who all have French passport but never been selected to any of French national teams:

   #1. Boris Meno (203-F-83, agency: Two Points, college: Davidson, currently plays in Czech Republic), who plays in the Czech Republic NBL could not help USK Praha (11-0) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Meno's very good performance the league leader USK Praha was defeated 86-75 at home by the lower-ranked BK Prostejov (#6). He recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 18 rebounds. Meno is ranked first on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Meno averages: 19.7ppg, 10.2rpg, 1.5apg and 1.1bpg. He has a dual citizenship: Congolese and French.

   #2. Kim Tillie (210-F-88, agency: Priority Sports, college: Utah, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB was not able to help UCAM Murcia (24-6) in their last game. Despite his good performance his team was edged in an overtime 99-97 on their home court in Murcia by the second-ranked G.Canaria 2014. Tillie scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a mere 17 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Tillie has averaged so far 7.9ppg and 4.1rpg in the eight games he played so far. He is another player who holds two passports: Dutch and French.

   #3. Elishay Kadir (202-PF-87, agency: Avi Zilberman, currently plays in Israel) led Hapoel J-M to a victory against the closely-ranked Hapoel Holon (3-3) 76-68 in the Israeli Winner League last Sunday. Kadir scored 11 points, had 8 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 2 shots. Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem (3-3) is placed seventh in the Winner League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Kadir has averaged so far 8.2ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.7apg. He has both French and Israeli nationalities.

   #4. Robert Dozier (206-F-85, college: Memphis, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Cajasol (1-7) in their game against CAI Zaragoza (5-3) in the Spanish ACB, despite his very good performance on Sunday night. Dozier was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. But Cajasol was crushed 86-55 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#5) CAI Zaragoza. It was Cajasol's fourth consecutive loss in a row. Dozier has averaged so far 7.5ppg and 4.5rpg in the two games.

   #5. Alfredo Ott (193-G-83, college: Dillard, currently plays in Spain) led Palencia Baloncesto to a victory over the closely-ranked FCB Regal II (4-3) 95-87 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Sunday night's game. He was the top player that evening. Ott recorded 18 points. Palencia Baloncesto (5-2) is placed fifth in the LEB Gold. Ott has reliable stats this season: 10.7ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.7spg. He is a naturalized American. Apparently Ott has never played in France.

   #6. Afik Nissim (186-PG-81, currently plays in Israel) couldn't help Hapoel Eilat in their game against Maccabi T-A in the Israeli Winner League. He scored only 4 points and added 3 passes. His team was defeated 79-68. Nissim has averaged so far 7.7ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.5apg and 1.2spg. He also holds two passports: French and Israeli.

   #7. Bandja Sy (203-F, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the N.Mexico St. in their game against the Niagara University in the NCAA, despite his good performance in Sunday night's game. Sy recorded 10 points in 25 minutes. But his team was edged 86-83. Sy has averaged so far 7.7ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.5apg and 1.2spg in the six games. He has dual citizenship: Mali and French.

   #8. John Wilkins (206-G-89, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Fairleigh Dickinson University crushing them 91-58 in the NCAA last Tuesday. Wilkins scored 8 points. Wilkins has averaged so far 7.7ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.5apg and 1.2spg. He is a naturalized American. Apparently Wilkins has never played in France.

   #9. Roy Samaha (205-F/C-84, currently plays in Lebanon) managed to help Al Moutahed Tripoli in a victory against the league outsider Anibal 105-90 in the Lebanese Division A on Thursday night. He scored only 4 points and blocked 2 blocks in 23 minutes. Samaha has reliable stats this year: 10.5ppg and 4.3rpg in the four games. He has French and Lebanese nationalities.

   #10. Antoine Guilard (202-F-92, currently plays in Canada) couldn't help the University of Laval in their game against the Stingers in the Canadian university league CIS. Guilard scored 8 points. His team was crushed by 28 points 90-62. Guilard has averaged so far 6.5ppg and 3.5rpg.

We bring you last week's top performances from French who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Nando De Colo (196-87). He could not help CSKA (20-7) in their last game. Basketball Loewen Braunschweig (BBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old American guard Andre Hollins (186-91kg-92, college: Minnesota, agency: Three Eye Sports). He started the season at Chorale de Roanne Basket in French ProB. In 23 games he recorded 11.5ppg, 2.7rpg, 2.3apg and 1.2spg this season. Hollins helped them to win the cup. 24-year old center Moustapha Fall (218-C-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Chalon and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 23. He had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Nanterre (#4, 16-7) 94-90. The game was between two of the league's top four teams.
