Edwige Lawson-Wade (168-PG-79) netted 14 points to pace the winners. Montpellier led by five points 18:13 after ten minutes. Botas pulled ahead in the second frame. The hosts limited the French side to 12 points and accumulated a narrow 32:30 halftime advantage. But the third term turned disastrous for the home team. Lattes Montpellier ignited a killer 25:7 rally to enter the fourth frame up by 16 points. Botas cut the deficit to 5 points late in the final frame but Gomis sealed a 7-point victory with a jumper late in regulation. Ana Lelas (183-G/F-83) netted 13 points, while Ana-Maria Cata-Chitiga (195-C-89) added 10 points for the visitors. Courtney Paris (191-C-87, college: Oklahoma) answered with 23 points and 16 boards for Botas. Burcu Cigil (180-G/F-90) had 11 points in defeat.
