Vendee Challans Basket (NM1) landed 25-year old American forward Maurice McNeil (205-87, college: Houston, agency: N.E.T.). He played recently at Austin Toros (D-League) in the U.S.. The last season McNeil played at Lobe Huesca in Spanish LEB Gold. In 14 games last year he averaged 9.3ppg and 6.4rpg. This summer (a year after he left the college) McNeil was drafted by Austin Toros (D-League) in fourth round (63rd overall). He attended University of Houston until 2011 and it will be his second season in pro basketball. McNeils college team won C-USA Tournament in 2010.

Evreux held off Le Portel at home court to reach the semifinal stage. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Le Portel won third quarter 21-17. Antibes snatched a road overtime victory over Boulogne to advance into the semis. SO Maritime Boulogne trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 25-14 run in the last quarter tied the game at the end of regular time, But then they lost eventually overtime period 25-28. SO Maritime Boulogne was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Pau-Lacq-Orthez forced 21 JL Bourg turnovers and outrebounded them 32-19 including 19 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Charles Jackson (203-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds.
