The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (13-4) on the court of tenth ranked Fos Ouest on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Fos Ouest 95-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Pau-Lacq-Orthez. The game without a history. Fos Ouest led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Fos Ouest forced 22 Pau-Lacq-Orthez turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Pau-Lacq-Orthez helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward John Williamson (199-86, college: Cincinnati) stepped up and scored 16 points for the winners and forward Aurelien Toto N'Kote (194-79) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). David Denave (195-85) responded with 16 points and 4 assists. Fos Ouest (9-8) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Pau-Lacq-Orthez at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Antibes. Fos Ouest is looking forward to face league's second-placed Olympique Antibes at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against Charleville-Mezieres and is hoping to win this game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 17: Charleville lost to Boulogne on the opponent's court 105-113. Hyeres-Toulon unfortunately lost to Bourg in a home game 75-82. St Vallier was rolled over Chalons-Reims on the road 74-93. Antibes defeated Nantes on its own court 98-83. Le Portel was beaten by Evreux in a road game 78-70. St Quentin won against Denain at home 97-81. Maurienne managed to outperform Bordeaux on the opponent's court 73-63. Rouen managed to beat Lille in a home game 82-71.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points and 8 rebounds by Jeremiah Wood of Evreux.

Very expected game when 17th ranked Charleville-Mezieres (5-12) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (11-6) 113-105 on Friday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. SO Maritime Boulogne made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game, while Charleville-Mezieres only scored six points from the stripe. SO Maritime Boulogne looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh, agency: Court Side) stepped up and scored 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and point guard Zainoul Bah (187-84) chipped in 23 points and 5 assists. American forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) responded with 32 points and 6 rebounds and American-British power forward Tafari Toney (203-86) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Evreux - Le Portel 78-70

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked ALM Evreux and 5th ranked Le Portel had identical 11-5 record. This time ALM Evreux used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Le Portel 78-70 on Friday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Le Portel won third quarter 18-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when ALM Evreux won last quarter 23-16. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Le Portel's players. 25 personal fouls committed by Le Portel helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. ALM Evreux maintains third place with 12-5 record behind leader Pau-Lacq-Orthez, which they share with Chalons-Reims. Loser Le Portel keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Boulogne. ALM Evreux is looking forward to face Hyeres-Toulon (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Denain Voltaire managed to win fourth quarter 26-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Saint-Quentin forced 19 Denain Voltaire turnovers.
