Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) signed 30-year old French international small forward Mickael Gelabale (201-83, agency: Three Eye Sports). He just played at Valencia Basket in Spanish ACB league. In 5 ACB games this season he had 11.0ppg and 3.4rpg. He also played 1 game in Eurocup where he recorded 5 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Gelabale also played at Cedevita (Euroleague) in Croatian league earlier that season. In 10 games this year he recorded 12.8ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.3apg. He also played 12 games in Adriatic League where he recorded 10.8ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.0apg. The last season Gelabale played at Khimky (PBL) in Russian PBL. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 12 PBL games he recorded 4.5ppg and 2.5rpg. He helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. Gelabale also played 6 games in Eurocup where he recorded 4.2ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.5apg. He also played 7 games in VTB United League where he recorded 3.6ppg and 2.4rpg. The other team Gelabale played shortly was Spirou Charleroi (Ethias League) in Belgian Ethias League.
The previous (10-11) season he played at ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (ProA) in French ProA. Similarly like in the last season, the team also played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and Gelabale was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 36 ProA games he recorded 14.2ppg, 4.8rpg and 2.1apg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. Gelabale also played 4 games in Euroleague where he recorded 10.3ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.5apg and 1.0spg. He also played 6 games in Eurocup where he recorded 12.2ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2spg.
In 2005 Gelabale was drafted by Seattle Supersonics in second round (48th overall).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-World Championships Honorable Mention back in 2010.
Gelabale was also a member of French international program for some years. He played for French Senior National Team between 2005 and 2012 and previously for U20 National Team in 2001. Gelabale represented France at the Olympic Games in London (United Kingdon) last year. His stats at that event were 6 games: 7.8ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.3apg, FGP: 57.7%, 3PT: 26.3%, FT: 66.7%.
Gelabale is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Spain (Real Madrid), NBA (LA Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder), France (Cholet) and D-League (Idaho Stampede and Los Angeles D-Fenders).
Gelabale could be described: A player of Caribbean origins (Isla de Punta Negra) who exploded in French League thaks to his athletic skills and his versatility; Knows ho to stay on the court, can make the right choice almost every time. His great defensive skills make him the usual controller of the opponents best scorer.

Experienced American Steffon Bradford (198-F/C-77) had a great game in the last round for St Vallier and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com NM1 Player of the Week award for round 14. The 39-year old power forward had the game-high 27 points adding four rebounds and three assists for St Vallier in his team's victory, helping them to beat Gries/Oberhoffen (#16, 4-10) 88-73. The most important game in the last round took place in Boulazac between third ranked Denain Voltaire (5-3) and fifteenth ranked Boulazac Basket (3-5) on Saturday night. Denain Voltaire was defeated by Boulazac Basket on the road 62-79.
