UMMC Ekaterinburg rout USO Mondeville in Round 12 opener. The Russian titan enjoyed a 79:58 home win in front of almost 5000 fans.
UMMC Ekaterinburg did not waste time and started with 24-13 in the first period. USO Mondeville managed to win the second frame 17-16 and reduced to 40:30 at the halftime. The second half fully belonged to the Russian team that posted two victories in the third and the last stanzas. UMMC needed 20-16 in the third period and then added 19-12 in the last stanzas.
Sandrine Gruda (193-C-87) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Ewelina Kobryn (193-C-82) nailed 19. Maria Stepanova (202-C-79) delivered 10, while Deanna Nolan (182-G/F-79, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Georgia) posted 6. Noelle Quinn (183-G-85, college: UCLA) ended up with 14 points in defeat and Amanda Lassiter (186-F-79, college: Missouri) scored 12. Naignouma Coulibaly (191-C-89) brought 9, while Laetitia Kamba (187-F-87) had 8.
