There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with extra overtimes and favorites losing the games.

Sixteenth-ranked Denain Voltaire (5-15) gave a tough game to first ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (16-4) on Friday. The visitors from Pau managed to secure only two-point victory 65-63. However their fans expected much easier game. Denain Voltaire was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 16-13 charge of Pau-Lacq-Orthez, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of David Denave (195-85) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Mory Correa (204-79, college: Wyoming) who added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. American power forward Marcus Kitts (205-89, college: William & Mary) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds. Denain Voltaire's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pau-Lacq-Orthez have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-4 record. Denain Voltaire lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Charleville. Pau-Lacq-Orthez are looking forward to face Nantes (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Denain Voltaire will play against Aix-Maurienne (#7) in Aix-les-Bains and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Chalons-Reims (14-6) against ninth ranked Fos Ouest (11-9) on Friday night. Host Chalons-Reims was defeated by Fos Ouest in Reims 65-53. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Chalons-Reims. The winners were led by American power forward John Williamson (199-86, college: Cincinnati) who scored that evening 22 points and 7 rebounds and Chris Davis supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Justin Burrell (206-88, college: St.John's) did not help to save the game for Chalons-Reims. Fos Ouest moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Maurienne and Bourg. Chalons-Reims at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Antibes and Le Portel. Fos Ouest will play against Saint Vallier (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chalons-Reims will play against SPO Rouen (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Eighteenth-ranked Bordeaux (2-18) gave a tough game to thirteenth ranked Lille Metropole (8-12) on Friday. Lille Metropole managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Jason Siggers who scored 29 points and 4 steals. Markel Humphrey produced 21 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Lille Metropole moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Nantes. Bordeaux lost tenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Lille Metropole will meet Hyeres-Toulon (#15) on the road in the next round. Bordeaux will play against the league's second-placed ALM Evreux and will have a slim chance for a victory.
Fourteenth-ranked Saint Vallier (7-13) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Olympique Antibes (14-6). The visitors from Antibes managed to secure only one-point victory 71-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Tim Blue saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Olympique Antibes moved-up to third place, which they share with Chalons-Reims and Le Portel. Saint Vallier lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Olympique Antibes will have a break next round. Saint Vallier will play on the road against Fos Ouest (#9).
Tenth ranked JL Bourg (11-9) crushed at home 9th ranked SPO Rouen (10-10) by 21 points 104-83, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SPO Rouen. Worth to mention a quality performance of Moses Sonko who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds. JL Bourg's coach Frederic Sarre felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JL Bourg moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Maurienne and Fos Ouest. Loser SPO Rouen dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. JL Bourg will face Charleville-Mezieres (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SPO Rouen will play against Chalons-Reims (#4).

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 20: Charleville was destroyed by Maurienne on the opponent's court 104-83. Le Portel managed to outperform Hyeres-Toulon in a home game 85-73. St Quentin managed to beat Nantes on the road 81-70. Evreux defeated Boulogne on its own court 86-71.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 28 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists by Clevin Hannah of Evreux.


St Vallier - Antibes 70-71

Fourteenth-ranked Saint Vallier (7-13) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Olympique Antibes (14-6). The visitors from Antibes managed to secure only one-point victory 71-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Saint Vallier was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 17-13 charge of Olympique Antibes, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Naturalized Senegalese center Moussa Badiane (205-81, college: E.Carolina) contributed with 10 points for the winners. American-Ivorian guard Errick Craven (188-83, college: USC) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and Florent Tortosa (196-89) added 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Saint Vallier. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olympique Antibes moved-up to third place, which they share with Chalons-Reims and Le Portel. Saint Vallier lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Olympique Antibes will have a break next round. Saint Vallier will play on the road against Fos Ouest (#9).

Bourg - Rouen 104-83

Tenth ranked JL Bourg (11-9) crushed at home 9th ranked SPO Rouen (10-10) by 21 points 104-83, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SPO Rouen. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when JL Bourg's pressure prevailed and they won that period 29-15 extending their advantage to 21 points. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. JL Bourg shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of Gambian forward Moses Sonko (197-83, college: Co.Carolina, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds and Philippe Braud (194-85) who added 22 points during the contest. Very expected game in Aix-les-Bains where 17th ranked Charleville-Mezieres (5-15) was crushed by seventh ranked Aix-Maurienne (11-9) 104-83 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Aix-Maurienne. Charleville-Mezieres was better in second period 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aix-Maurienne made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Wilbert Brown (200-84, college: Niagara, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Cameroonian Joachim Ekanga-Ehawa (187-77) who added 23 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. American power forward Marcus Kitts (205-89, college: William & Mary) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds and his fellow American import forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Denain Voltaire's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pau-Lacq-Orthez have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-4 record. Denain Voltaire lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Charleville. Pau-Lacq-Orthez are looking forward to face Nantes (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. ALM Evreux made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. ALM Evreux outrebounded SO Maritime Boulogne 52-32 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when ALM Evreux made 9 blocks. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Chalons-Reims. The game was mostly controlled by Fos Ouest. Chalons-Reims was better in second period 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fos Ouest forced 22 Chalons-Reims turnovers. The winners were led by American power forward John Williamson (199-86, college: Cincinnati) who scored that evening 22 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import swingman Chris Davis (195-80, college: N.Texas, agency: Court Side) supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds.
