France won the first period 14-7 and never looked behind. The hosts added 20-12 rally in the second frame and led 34:19 at the halftime. The third quarter was a disaster for Italy that managed to score only 4 points. France erupted with 20 and increased the lead to 31 points after 30 minutes. Italy however reduced to final 67:39 as they won the last period 16-13. Cata Chitiga top-scored for the winners with 12 points and Nwal-Endene Miyem (188-PF-88) added 11.
