Victor
U.S. Virgin Islands Cuthbert Victor (197-F-83) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Le Mans and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 29-year old forward had the game-high 23 points adding four rebounds and two assists for Le Mans in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Roanne (#10, 8-10) in overtime 89-87. Le Mans is placed at 3rd position in French ProA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Le Mans will need more victories to improve their 12-6 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Victor as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Cuthbert Victor averages this season 10.1ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 31-year old American guard Bernard King (196-G-81) of Le Havre. King impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 2 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course Le Havre cruised to a 92-84 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Orleans (#7, 9-9). This victory allowed Le Havre to move up to 14th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-11 record. King is a newcomer at Le Havre and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.8ppg (#6). He also recorded 6.4 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was Ivorian Souleyman Diabate (183-PG-87, agency: Beo Basket) of Nancy (#13). Diabate scored 18 points and passed four assists. Despite Diabate's great performance Nancy lost 73-75 to the lower-ranked Boulazac (#16, 5-13). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Nancy not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 11 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Diabate could try to bring Nancy's a little bit higher in the standings. Diabate has individually a great season in France. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.7apg (best passer). Souleyman Diabate has also French passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Coleman Collins (206-C/F-86) of Roanne - 17 points and 5 rebounds
5. Amara Sy (202-F-81) of ASVEL - 11 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Cyril Akpomedah (203-PF-79) of Gravelines - 13 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Tyler Smith (201-F-86) of Boulazac - 6 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists
8. J.K. Edwards (202-C/F-82) of Gravelines - 14 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Pape Sy (201-G/F-88) of Le Mans - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Ferdinand Prenom (205-C-91) of Dijon - 10 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Monaco extended the contract of coach Mitrovic - May 28, 2016

The Montenegrin coach Zvezdan Mitrovic (agency: Alti Sport ), who led Monaco to the best season of its history, signed a two-year contract extension. The newcomers in ProA are competing in the league's semifinals, their season may end on Sunday if they lose again to ASVEL, however the club decided with this move to demontrate its vote of confidence to the coach. ASVEL - Monaco 65-58 ASVEL regained the lead in the semifinal series. They beat Monaco at home court to take 2-1 lead. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 37-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Monaco helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
