Marie Butard
Marie Butard (174-G-86) put on an amazing game in the last round for LTB 29 and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com LF2 Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 26-year old guard had the game-high 26 points adding nine rebounds for LTB 29 in her team's victory, helping them to crush CFBB (#12, 2-14) with 20-point margin 78-58. LTB 29 is placed at 3rd position in French LF2. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. LTB 29 will need more victories to improve their 13-4 record. It's Butard's second year at LTB 29 and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Butard has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (7th best: 14.0ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old Romanian center Anita Meszaros (190-C-88) of Reims. Meszaros impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds. Of course she lead Reims to another comfortable win 88-74 over Laveyron (9-7) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Reims to move up to 6th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Meszaros is a newcomer at Reims and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Latvian Dace Brumermane (187-F/C-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) of Dunkerque (#10). Brumermane scored 21 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Dunkerque, leading her team to a 77-71 win against slightly higher-ranked Roche (#9, 7-8). The chances of Dunkerque not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Brumermane could try to bring Dunkerque's a little bit higher in the standings. Brumermane has individually a great season in France. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.6ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 8.1rpg (9th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Melissa Micaletto (165-G-90) of Dunkerque - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Laurie Lapeyre (178-F-82) of Pau Orthez - 10 points and 11 rebounds
6. Oumou Toure (190-F-88) of LTB 29 - 20 points and 3 rebounds
7. Elodie Decker (168-G-85) of Nice - 21 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Johanna Cortinovis (190-F/C-86) of Angers - 11 points and 12 rebounds
9. Pulcherie Ayi (170-G-80) of Laveyron - 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Johana Tayeau (173-G-89) of Roche - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
