29-year old swingman Blake Schilb (200-G/F-83, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) had a great game in the last round for Chalon and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19. He had the game-high 25 points adding four rebounds and nine assists for Chalon in his team's victory, helping them to beat Boulazac (#16, 5-14) 89-75. Chalon is placed at 3rd position in French league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Chalon will need more victories to improve their 12-6 record. In the team's last game Schilb had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Chalon, through which he has constantly improved. Loyola University of Chicago graduate has very impressive stats this year. Schilb is in league's top in assists (6th best: 4.9apg) and averages solid 53.5% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Anthony Dobbins (194-G-81) of Poitiers. He is American-Italian guard in his first season at Poitiers. In the last game Dobbins recorded impressive 20 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Poitiers was edged by the higher-ranked Paris-Levallois (#6, 11-8) 73-71. Poitiers is still in a red zone at 15th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-13 record. Dobbins is a newcomer at Poitiers and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Trenton Meacham (188-G-85) of Nanterre (#10). Meacham scored 28 points. He was a key player of Nanterre, leading his team to a 91-81 win against the higher-ranked Le Mans (#4, 12-7). The chances of Nanterre ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 10 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Meacham could help Nanterre to bring them higher in the standings. Meacham has a very solid season. In 15 games in France he scored 12.5ppg. He also has FGP: 53.6% and 3PT: 44.0%.
